Hey guys. I did a search and didn't really see an answer, but i'm sure this question has been posted many times before so sorry..  But I have to ask it.

Will there be anything similar to Realm Points like in Daoc?? Some personal progression through the PvP that you have taken part in?? Skills? Abilities?? Not armor like in WoW right?

Also will there be any "speed classes" like the minstrel, skald, and bard in daoc??

Thanks a ton guys.

I have no idea about the "speed" classes.  So far i have not heard of any classes with run songs or anything like that, and since bards and minstrels and such were also for CC there is not going to be mezzing or anything like that in WAR.  As far as RP's going, i am pretty sure some of the skills you get are through PvP and such.  Just keep your eye's on the podcasts, it's what i do.

Also, do you think that they'll have some form of monitoring who is the to player?? For example, daoc's camelotherald.com and seeing the top realm points earned for the week, top IRS, top for each class, etc. I highly doubt they've even announced such an aspect of the game considering they're still working on the foundations. Oh well, figured I'd throw that out there. Thanks again guys.

Yes, your character will earn renown points which will be along the same line as realm points (and you don't even have to switch to a new acronym). Speed classes haven't been publicly addressed yet so that's a "wait and see" topic.

As far as tracking player status, warherald.com will have much of the same type of info that the Camelot Herald has (and more, I would imagine).

Why So Serious?

Alot of this has been answered and addressed in podcasts, faq grab bags, and just the website in general.  You really should check out www.warhammeronline.com   It'll tell you everything you need to know.

Currently all classes for all races except the final two High Elf classes have been released.   They've said flat out there are no CC classes if thats what you mean by speed classes (has no idea what roll a speeed class would play).  Also as far as I know the warhammer world (they're sticking very close to the Warhammer IP so don't go looking for the standard fantasy roles they don't apply. ) doesn't have bards, minstrels, and skalds.   Its possible a race does and I just don't remember but they don't seem very WAR ish and they're not being worked on for release.

PVP Progression has been talked about from the get go.   Really You should check out Warhammer's official site it'll have all the best information and not second hand but I'll touch on it anyway.  First off you can Level Through PVP (yes you get to loot players, NOT of their item but from a loot table for PVP), you never have to PVE if you don't want too though it certaintly helps according to the devs to try everything.    PVE, PVP, RVR all give Experience & Renown points  (basically realm points because the more points your side gets the closer to taking over the Tier area your in and once you have enough points Everyone gets to siege on the Enemy's home city, yes the actual city full of innocents in need of slaughtering up at the Tier 4 area).

There's all sorts of skills / abilities that relate to pvp, tons of tactics and morale stuff I just won't go into deeper on cause they explain it far better in the pod casts.     Gear IS apart of the game and while it plays its part it won't be some 80% gear and 20% ability to play your character  like past games.   They've not said any exact percentage to how it plays out but im guessing from the way they talk alone that its 30% gear 70% ability to play your character & work as a team in battle that matter.     (thats my personal gestimation)

Enzix really check out WarhammerOnline.com   you'll find a wealth of information that'll probably blow your mind :)

Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

Too weird to live, and too rare to die

Currently all classes for all races except the final two High Elf classes have been released.

Only one High Elf career remains, actually - the site is just not updated with information from the past two newsletters. They have Swordmasters, Archmages, and Shadow Warriors; it is likely the fourth will be White Lions.

As for information about progression through RvR, there is so much out there about this that I could not do it justice. As others have said, watch all the podcasts and read all the newsletters and updates. Not only will you learn tons about this, but you will learn tons of others things, too. Plus, the podcasts are funny as hell, not just boring presentations.
