Extremely disappointed with the current set of console, the one that really makes me bitter is the Wii.

- Third party games use PS2 engines to make Wii games;

- Zelda Twilight Princess is basically what everyone wanted instead of wind waker. It's coming 4 years too late and on the wrong console; Resident evil came out almost 3 years ago yet is presented as a major third party game for the Wii... Metroid Prime 3 has the same graphics as Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

- less than 5 games are worth the money (9/10)

It's basically a gamecube with a detection movement pad, with exactly the same set of games as the Gamecube (RE4 included!).

Hell, third party developpers are not interested at all in developping blockbusters for the Wii... they'll pump out crap games (like they curently do) and keep the big franchises for Sony and Microsoft....

i don't think i can argue with any of this, but i like my wii. it's fun to play and that's what gaming of any type is all about.

The Wii wasn't made for you. It's really that simple.

The Wii is the console for normal people that don't spend 4+ hours a day with their ass glued to the couch playing video games and obsessing over the industry.  Individuals aren't meant to play it for more than a half an hour at a stretch. The Wii is also a party machine. You get more out of it by playing with others.

Having said that, the Wii also delivers and experience that no other console can provide. Mercury Meltdown: Revolution feels significantly different than it's PSP and PS2 counterparts. Ditto for Geometry Wars Galaxies. There's also nothing like Zak & Wiki on the 360, PS3, or even the PC.

Let's not forget that Nintendo has been blacklisted by most third party developers since the N64 (for good reason!) and it hasn't slowed them down one bit. The first party stuff stands on it's own merits.

Being as I own all Three Metroid Prime games, I've come to the conclusion that you're blind. While Metriod Prime 3 isn't the graphical jump that Halo 3 is, it DOES in fact take advantage of a higher polygon count and mild per pixel operations that the first two games couldn't.

It wasn't made for you. Don't buy it. There are many of us that have tried it, liked it, and bought it. Scream all you want, but the more people that actually play a Wii the more units will be sold. I don't think anyone's going to base their decision to buy on your post.

Virtual Console <3

You must be angry and pissy because you didnt get one for christmas. Before you even bother reading up on the games and everything involving the Wii that you obviously dont know, heed these words of advice; step off your little soapbox, and walk out of that cave you live in.

I'm going to voice the same advice that everyone has mentioned already: Wii isn't for you then. It's ok, it isn't for everybody (certainly it isn't my type of console either) - I personally chose the Xbox 360 for pure power, HD DVD, and graphics.

I will, however, say that when we purchased a Wii for 3 kids this past Christmas, that six kids and ten adults could not get enough of it; the entire Christmas day (we're talking from morning until late evening when we kicked people out to go to bed) - They played ALL day long. It was absolutely funny watching couples "box" one another in the ring, or teams forming up to bowel against one another, or to watch the other interactive games they played - I had a great time watching everyone else enjoy themselves playing with the console.

Like any console, you have to consider their title line-up, their IP (intellectual properties), partnerships, and capabilities before deciding on which console is best suited for your gaming needs - And "none" is a valid decision as well.

There is no mistaking the numbers, however, that the Nintendo Wii is the hottest console to ever land on the market, to-date. The company cannot manufacture the consoles fast enough, and Nintendo is producing more consoles than Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 combined - They have to be doing something right, to achieve this level of success.

All I can say is my wife has never played a computer game,Just doesnt get why i enjoy MMo`s but she wanted to try the Wii so we bought 1(although I had my doubts) and we both love it,I coudnt imagine I would have so much fun even with a game like the sonic and mario game.

Also like someone else said it gets my ass of the chair for a bit.

ummm with nintendo what else do you need other then the frist party games and the fun games thrid party people have come up with.
