I recently saw two topics about what faction people choose. You think the most people did choose Destruction, you are right and wrond.

One topic had 60% Destruction / 40% Order based on 50-60 votes

Other topic had 40% Destruction / 60% Order also based on 50-60 votes

I think it will be around 40/60 - 60/40, because they have the same kind of races. With WoW the problem was that the Horde didn't had elves. In WAR they both have humans and both have elves. With WoW you choose what class you want to play and then see what race has that class available. WAR has 24 different races.

People are most of the time curious so they will play the most characters. They play on two servers, one for Order, one for Destruction. I think the most people will do this, just to check out the other side.

Still we don't know what faction will get the most players, because not much people post on this site so it is irrelevant.

The extra 0,1% does of course come from the fact that the numbers given aren't the exact ones... But I Agree with your thoughts. There will probably be differences between servers too. Personally I don't mind too much as long as it's relatively balanced.

Imho this just a Questions on Open RVR where an unlimited amount of players can participate.
All the instanced RvR-Content will be very balanced.

In Daoc you have got almost always a dominating Realm, which claims most relics and keeps all the time. There fore they have got access to Darkness Falls most of the time.

Anyway, we can just hope that Mythic brings all this experiences to WAR.

Hmm, yeah that is a bit strange if you look at the results of this poll here!! It has totally different results from the poll in this post. So i think no polls can actually give a sing cause it is way to early.

But still it is fun making polls , especially since we have to wait a looong time till the game is released...

So far, this is suprising, but I don't buy it yet.  It could be the forum crowd here is a bit different than the usual "off the shelf gamer" but that will remain to be seen.

Prior experience has shown me the opposite of what the poll shows so far, but I guess I will live with the numbers... mark my words though, I will return if there are 8 million dark-elf sorc's and chaos chosen at launch, saying "i told you so"

I think you guys are also overlooking what I think will be a very popular class, the Witch Hunter.

Big "Van Helsing" Brim hat, cutlass in one hand, pistol in the other. A bandolier of weapons across his chest. It's 100% badassery. Not to mention whatever Interrogations might be. Plus they're a DPS class, and essentially the archetypal "Rogue" class.

Also look at the Bright Wizard, that's raw power. They give new meaning to the word Nuke. I don't see how they wouldn't be popular either. The Shadow guys from the High Elves are the archetypal "Ranger" so I'm sure they'll be popular too.

Honestly I don't see a huge problem with population balance. Besides that, Mythic has said they're planning to have ways to even up the score with NPCs and such in some places. I don't think we have much to worry about.

Well, I'm playing Empire.  I LOVE being the underdog.  Although, from the looks of this poll, Empire looks pretty popular...

I will be rolling an order class and a dustruction class from the start...I want to get the most I can out of both sides. But tbh ill probably spend more time on the destruction side :P
