Age of Conan

I just saw the trailer for this movie

Now it's not Conan but I certainly thought of AoC when I saw it.

It's scheduled to release in March too.   If Funcom manages to stick to their schedule and get the game out when they say (in a stable, working form) then they might be able to capitalize on any interest created by this movie.

Assuming the movie doesn't stink, of course :) 

Actually, I saw on IMDB or somewhere that there is a new Conan movie coming out in 2009...but that doesn't have much to do with the launch of AoC

The movie seemed all right. For some reason people talking so fluent english in the trailer got my attention. Though, it wouldn't serve the audience in any other way. Like in Apocalyptos case, I guess it wouldn't make the movie any better or worse, no matter what langueage they talk. 

But yeah, 10 000BC does seem to have some elements from AoC. While waiting for this movie I'd suggest you guys should check out original Conan movies and Red Sonja. They are pretty decent considering the way they are made. Arnold does a great job as long as he don't say or moan anything. (Fight sequences) :D

Well... In my opinion, Arnold takes a long good leak all over the good name of Conan. The original Conan and Arnold's Conan have nothing or very little on common.

On a related note, has anyone heard anything about the Warner Bros animated Conan movie that was supposed to be based on the story 'Red Nails'?

Movie looks like it'll be entertaining. But there's no way women were THAT hot back then...c'mooon. But why complain? I'd rather see her than some Linda Hunt look-a-like. Anyway I think they're reviving Conan with a new film thats supposed to be more true to the original stories...and I think there's an animated movie voiced by Ron Perlman coming out soon. Same dude who voiced for the single player game.

10000 bc? I think thats a remake if im right of a 1960s film starring raquel welsh- it was a dinosaur movie with  no talking in it(all the actors were meant to be neanderthals so they just grunted).Its years since i have seen it but it wasnt great - highlight was raquel in a skimpy outfit!

I had one of those posters.... wonder where it went, she was hawt!

Yea I saw the preview to this movie and thought about Conan right away, but I don't think the movie will be too popular.

If it is, then yea many people might go looking for a video game similar to the movbie and find AOC!!
