The folks at Vanguard have announced their plans for Valentines Day related events in the world of Telon.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and if you forgot to get something special for your someone special, fear not! To celebrate the holiday of love, Vanguard will be decorating the major cities within Telon complete with gift wrapped packages that contain an abundance of fun Valentine's Day goodies.

Beginning Tuesday of next week, travel to Tanvu, New Targonor or Ahgram and find many gifts to open. Inside, you'll discover items you can use to set the mood in your home or Guild Hall. Stuffed heart-shaped pillows or wall adornments, a variety of flowers – long stemmed or in a vase, chocolates and gifts galore!

I wish mmorpgs would invent their own holidays because I play them to get away from the real world...

Sigils answer to everyting... "can you bumpmap that?"

WoW has loads of made up holidays, this week we have "the festival of light" =D

But as in game holiday events go.. this VG event is rather weak.. no holiday related quests? whats with that.

It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a viking to raze a village!

I get annoyed by stuff like this when I log in and see bugs and/or major performance issues.  I'd rather the devs spend their time working on bug fixes or diplomacy or more long term Telon related content.  It just seems to me that their valuable and very limited time could be put to so much better use than pink or red heart pillows and wall decorations.

Lets face it, MMOs today are turning into single player console games with a chat box included.

I agree recently I heard they were going to be putting tails on races, with the plethora of broken quests and performance issues, I just dont see why cosmetic changes are even on the agenda.

Could be the fact that many of the performance issues are directly related to art assets and models, which also fall into the "cosmetics" category.

Personally, I'm glad they're putting some "life" into Telon with new stuff like this, in addition to the bug-fixes and tweaks that go into the GU's. I've been wishing they'd do more smaller fixes in between GU's but we've had two hotfixes in the past two weeks, so that's pleasing.

Make a WORLD,
Not a Game.

it's the ever changing content and events that makes a mere game feel like a world .
