The sun billers out a most glorious light, high above a bird circles within a magistic blue sky...

Can Americans buy an English version of this game and play in the states?

Just to vouch for Kelnnay, he is correct. You'll also have the option to play on the asian servers as well.

Whether you will be able to play on European/Asian servers will depend on the US publisher of the game. But when there is none, as the OP predicts, then it will be possible from the US. At least that is what SIL said in the past.

as long as they don't restrict access based on your IP. then you should be able to, but might still get a publisher here but who knows.

Fanboi is not a word, it is just bad grammar.

The devs have a working deal among their publishers that allows people outside of their region to play the game. This is probably one of the reasons why it's taking them so long to get a US publisher.

I'm not sure what Canada you live in but my Canada IS part of North America.  Don't let the word "America" fool you.  So yes.  Just like EVERY other game that's released in North America (or accessible from North America), it will be available to both US and Canada.

Only the dead have seen the end of war- Plato

The devs already said they won't ban North american IPs, but if u buy a euro copy of the game and then/if when the US copy comes out ur going to have to buy that copy to play on US servers.
