As expected... Also the "Read More" link does not appear to be working. |

Sucks for me if it lasts until tomorrow afternoon because i would have lost about 12hrs of skill training time... I actually had hope this time on a timely patch... but as always, my faith leads me astray from reality. |

No surprise. And yes, the "Read more" is a dead link.

Yeah, really sucks. The skill I am training now is supposed to be done around 5:30pm EST today... If it doesn't come up until tomorrow afternoon like CCP said COULD happen.. that is nearly 24 hours of no skill training... |

I'm in the same boat... My skill ends at 4:30pm EST. Thought I set a long enough skill, but I guess not |

One of my characters got caught last night with a 4 hour training going, daylight savings buggered my GMT calculation and I was an hour late in tryin to log and switch it...
Another character has their skill ending in an hour...same reason as the first. The third ends in 6 hours =/
Usually a patch bones me one one toon...I think this one will catch all three :P |

Always fucking extended downtime with this game :\ Makes me wonder why they can't patch the game easily like everyother mmo i've played? Put that with the insane amount of lag in most of the high sec space and then if you're in a fleet battle which the game is designed for it lags like crazy or the server dies. Then the freak lag moments and after it's finished you find yourself in a pod in a station and you ask to get your stuff back because it wasn't your fault that you lost it and they say no.......... |

Hmmmm it seems to me that you all knew that there was a patch coming and yet you complain about the fact that whilst patching they stumbled across a database issue which they, of course, would like to rectify. I'm pretty sure that they always warn us to ensure that we have a long skill training so as not to waste any time... If I'm honest it's nowhere near as bad as SWG in the early days, I remember patches taking days to rectify... Just chill and go watch some pr0n or something... |

Originally posted by vickypollard Whine much? 1. I have played many MMOs and it is not uncommon for them to experience extended downtime. Why don't you learn some patience and accept that there are hard working people dedicating their lives to entertan you. Don't be so god damn ungrateful. Your $15.00/month does not entitle you to carte blanche complaining whenever you don't get your way. 2. About the lag. Name me one MMO that does not start to lag when large groups of people congregate? Have you ever played Second Life? It cannot have more than 100 people in an particular grid. Did you attend their Second Fest? It was the world's first virtual music festival. Once the headliners came to the stage and the grid became full, a player was lucky just to be able to receive the audio/video stream. Forget about moving. Why don't you educate yourself as to why there is so much lag. This is the nature of our technology and the Internet. Simply put, most MMOs cannot handle large groups of people. It isn't all about the server of the company hosting the game. You must also take into consideration your own Internet connection, the route that your connection takes to connect to the server, the power of your computer AND your video card. How many people bitch about lag during large fleet battles and not even consider that maybe their computer can't render that much stuff on the screen at on time? I'm sure more than a few. Lastly, if you've paid attention to Eve Fest 2007, CCP is trying to convert from traditional servers to super computers. This should vastly increase network connectivity but is still not a guarantee that lag will be 100% gone. What I don't get is why so many ass hats like to hang out in Jita when they know it is going to cause lag. And, as one developer mentioned, every time they are able to increase the capacity of Jita, that much more people come in and it is back to square one. 3. Eve-Online will always be a ONE SERVER game. This does NOT mean that the game is only run on one actual machine. There are many machines working in the background that make up the one server we all play on. All of us being part of one universe together is a HUGE MASSIVE appeal for playing Eve Online. Again, appreciate the fact that you live in a modern society where nobody is actively hunting you down because of your skin color or religious beliefs. Appreciate that you are able and have the means to play a game such as Eve. Eve is not a game for complainers. Either suck up technical glitches, limitations and down time or go play WoW. Good day. |

| Currently playing: No MMOs. They all suck. |
