Hehe don t get me started :) think both have decent ideas but for me i prefer Wars better. I ve stated before only 1 thing makes me prefer Wars and that is suprise factor. I m not fond of a guild pre determining a time when an enemy can attack. I know why they re doing it but takes away from the immersion etc for me. Besides War is designed by the masters of rvr so it will be good, i can almost guarentee that. |

There are times in both games where nobody can take a keep, but in AoC the defending guilds gets X amount of days to pick and decide when the attacking guild can actually attack. One seems more casual based. Once you get a keep you could become casual and set up defenses like WoW guilds do raid days. You know X guild is attacking you on Wednesday at 6 pm EST so make sure you on kind of thing. |

AoC overaly smells like a zergfest, probably I'm wrong but that's the impression I got from that game, and that obviously affects sieges, specially with the performance the game seems to be scoring on decent rigs. And yeah, the "set dates" thing seems like a rotative way of changing power houses, but still, the biggest guild will always have the advantage of being able to defent at any given time with manpower. |

i definitely agree with both of you about the surprise thing. but AoC has my vote simply because in my opinion there's more of a reason to want the battle keeps. they are only nine per server, and the only to get the best endgame weapons and armor (crafting) is to have certain buildings in the cities and keeps. so i think that i will fight harder if more depends on me winning.
but thats just me |

Yep fair enough but to look at the pther point theres only 6 Main cities to fight over and once inside some great rewards are inside. So it s definately somethig to fight for :) As well leading up to the fight over cities theres alot of pvp/pve that contributes to get you there. Basically it s a never ending fight and tides will turn back and forth till one side opes up the city siege stage. I respect your thoughts and have nothing wrong with AOC i just like the constant battles all over in every aspect to contribute for your side. Damnit just talking about it is making the wait even harder. Damn my typing is bad these days. |

I think AoC's sieges will be more like war simulation, whereas WAR sieges will be more just fun.
But that's only the impression I've got from both games. And personally, I like WAR's style better. |

Ok, im gonna call these "epic" battles. I want that and Im afraid AoC will be the "dont add to my fight" crap again. However, on the other hand I am hoping those who like that sort of thing will be playing on a FFAPVP server and leave the epic stuff (if there really is any in AoC) to the PvE servers. |

AoC's sieges will be fun for a while. The mount idea is great, and the siege weapons they made look "ok" from the videos I have watched. While I agree the siege will be for a good reason (guilds n such), the predetermined time is a terrible idea. WAR gets my vote for past experience/success and simply doing well at every aspect. |
