WAR (Warhammer Online)

I've pre-ordered the CE and i'm sure that as time goes on, they would have all been sold by release and demand will be high.

I was just wondering how the whole process works so that i can convince myself that my CE is safe and will arrive in due time, as i haven't found a single seller that refers to my rights re preorders of limited editions.

The closest i got was "There is no contract of sale until the item is despatched".

So, do the WAR guys and the shops already have agreements sorted and KNOW where all the collectors editions are going to and how many each company gets?

Will the sellers be legally obliged to ensure all customers receive all the bonuses, such as the beta keys, as part of the sale?

I've heard of it happening and am really paranoid that its going to come down to it and i'm not going to receive my beta code or even not going to get my CE copy because they took more orders thaan they had copies...

I've already ordered a copy from two different places! Help :(

To me it seems like Mythic are treating their EU customers like they did with DAOC... the whole thing is a mess and why do we have the shittest website ever that's broken? They list alot of sites for preorder but most of them don't even work and just seems like a mess. I bet we even get the short straw when it comes to subscriptions tooo.

The problem I have with playing on EU servers, even English speaking ones is each minority takes a server for their own language. Tbh I just wnana be able to play on US servers as a British guy cause i'm fed up of constantly looking for English only speaking servers when a mmorpg is localized. You report them for talking in Italian or w/e on a English speaking server and teh admins do nothing.

The whole thing is a joke tbh,


The one thing SOE do right is their servers and letting EU play on US

+ I think Game and Play are getting the bonus preorder stuff right?.

Game and Gamestation are both reknown for overselling CE editions to boost their buying power with the publisher.

Game even did it with the Xbox 360 taking thousands of pre-orders then only sending out 250 of them to online customers and then making everybosy else wait months as they diverted their huge allocation to the stores.

Only thing you can do is hope that you ordered it early enough, play and game had it on their site on the 26th March and hope that they don't do it yet again.

Is Play.com supposed to be any good?

Thats the thing, Play have a questionable reputation at best.

The whole pre-order and release date thing in the UK is like this:

Move outa the UK cause u always get shafted in everything!  ...but don't come to the US cause it sucks here even though we get stuff before you.

I pre ordered wow and tbc through play, and i got wow 2 days early and tbc on the release date...they aint bad at all.

I've used play for over 10 years and never once had a problem with them, often getting CD's, DVD's and games before the release date. Their prices are nearly always the lowest with free delivery, i don't know where this "bad reputation" comes from.

I've pre-orsered a few games from play in the past and didn't get any of them on release. One even arrived two weeks after release.

Same I ordered some games in the past and they always came a few days after release. I always order my games from GAME because they always come ont he day or a day before. I mean do you really want to get into open beta and ruin the excitment of launch?

See this is when you need official forums so you can query the pre-orders

I've ordered mine from Play.com and gave them a call today to query when the open beta keys will be distributed - their answer was they will issue via email once Mythic/EA have sent them.

This seems very odd considering US customers are receiving them as we speak?

An official comment would be nice cosidering they have removed all pre-order info from the european war site now?
