Fury

Fury has now, as of april 1st (Ironic, isn't it?  This isn't a joke!) been patched!!!  omgf omgf omgf

Some of the features are:

Reduced GCD to 1 second (WEWT)

Added an option to use bots as fillers to reduce queue time.

Having to have bots fill in for a lack of players, in a game supposedly designed for Player vs. Player, does not seem like an "improvement".

IF the NPCs are just fillers with normal AI abilities, they will be sitting ducks, not coordinating, not running around in team formation, and basically just the stupid NPC you pull or distract or whatever.  If I want to PVP with a normal NPC mob, might as well do PVE.

If the NPC is super charged mob like an elite boss, I would go PVP teaming with all mobs and no players.  They will level the field for me.  I just need to hide and stay alive as the "real" players slug it out against my elite bosses teammates.

Either way, it would work out odd.

I concur.  I really don't see how this can improve the game?  Are there enough people around for this to make that big of a difference? 

 

 

Now players aren't forced to play certain matches due to numbers but are able to play what they want.

You'll be seeing even less posts on these forums now that the official Fury forums are back online.

Maybe because you don't play it? If you did you would know that new players are forced to fight veterans due to population numbers. This is neither fun for new players nor veterans.

Maybe that's because there aren't enough new players to have them fight each other? Most mmos have new players joining in every day, hell even the bad ones. And yet Fury can't get enough to match against each other. Sad.

And remember, Fury was for those who wanted to "test their skill against real opponents" right from the beginning, with no "boring PvE grinding" ( I believe having to fight bots until you are strong enough to fight "vets" would be considered "boring PvE grinding" ). With having to fight bots ( hey, doesn't that mean Fury is now a PvE game also? lol ) people aren't exactly getting what they signed up for, are they?

i was offline for a few days while moving and waiting for the transfer of my services , and of course first thing i do when i get online is check updates and official statements for games im playing or plannin on .... then i go to fury jokingly saying to my GF ...
