I've heard a lot about this game, and read your website, but I really don't know how this game plays. Is it open world or instanced? Is there pvp? Do you level up or is it skill based? etc. |

In Warrior Epic, you will assume the role of "Hall Lord". Your Hall is a stronghold that grows with your progress in the game. It will be fully customizable and will be seen by other players. Initially your hall will look like a mud hut, but as you increase in wealth and power... it will transform into a huge castle with tons of rooms and benefits that can be shared by your entire party. All of your Warriors will reside within your hall. Similar to other games, you will have access to fully featured warrior classes... each with their own skill tree. As a Warrior Progresses in the game, skills become available via player distributed skill points. What separates our games mechanic from other games is that we actually want you to play Warrior Epic from the perspective of all the different Warrior Classes. There are two things being done to promote players to try out different Warriors: 1. There is a "Spirit System" in our game that actually allows Warriors to die. When a Warrior dies, a player is given two options... they can resurrect the Warrior and go on to fight another day, or they can actually equip that Warrior's spirit on another character that resides in their Hall. These spirits are powerful skills that can be used in battle to unleash devastating attacks or super buffs. 2. All of the Warrior Classes are extremely specialized. By having specialized classes, we are able to create Warriors that deviate from more generic "this guy smashes stuff, this one heals stuff, etc". The benefits of having specialized classes are two fold. We will be able to offer a huge and ever increasing roster of unique warrior classes for players to enjoy our game with. A great deal of strategy will have to be used in building a successful party prior to embarking on a campaign or adventure. Since the warriors are specialized, other players will want to complement one another when they create a team so that they are effective in game. There is a PvP mode and we are currently working on several different game types. I just want to add that Warrior Epic is free to download and play. There are no progress locks or power buying in the game... the cash shop will consist primarily of extremely inexpensive cosmetic items, buffs, and a select number of warrior classes. To play Warrior Epic, all you have to do is hit our site (after the game is released) and download a tiny (~400kb) installer which will dynamically download the game content as you need it... which makes it a very portable title.

Okay, coming from world of warcraft, I'm used to instanced dungeons which something I actually like a lot because it prevents kill stealing and all of that. Will there be a looking for group feature or some way to meet up with people before doing different quests? Also, will there be lots of quests to do or is it mainly gear yourself up and grind?
As for dungeons will there be scripted bosses where players have to use strategies to defeat them? |

Originally posted by skamper Yes, the Campaigns in Warrior Epic will all be instanced. There is a very robust system put in place that will make it extremely easy to locate friends and build parties. The monsters in Warrior Epic will ALL have their strengths and weaknesses. Even if you are a big badass, you may confront something that is completely immune to your attacks... so someone else in the party will have to step up and take care of business. Warrior Epic is also not a recharge game... meaning that you cannot lay down and recharge health/mana. You gather what you need before going on a Campaign and you use your resources wisely... or you fail. It is very similar to tabletop gaming in that respect.

I win. |
This sounds really interesting. How do players go about getting money? Are there ways besides mindless farming to get it? Is there any crafting involved? |

Originally posted by Master_Razor The economy in Warrior Epic is completely self contained. Gold and Experience is equally distributed among the party members as it is found on monsters, breakables, and containers. There will be no mindless farming in WE, it is paced so that players receive a sufficient amount of gold to keep them well equipped and stocked without having to slay beast after beast for gold. Grinding gets insanely boring very quickly, so we are doing things a little differently to negate that process altogether. Initially, there will not be any crafting... but this feature has been requested quite a bit by our community members so we are seriously considering it. |

I've seen a lot of screenshots of the game, and read many of the various interviews. It looks like an amazing game, but it is only going to be in the closed beta period soon. Not all of us will make the closed beta, so for those who don't make it, do you have an estimated time of when the official public version will be released or is the date still totally un | |
