God made women because mens brains are broken.

Fable 2 is going to rock...no doubt about it...but would it be sweet to see a Fable 3 that was a full blown MMORPG?

"You''re wrong about drug use, when its not abuse ..."

Haaaaa!

I loved Fable so much. First I bought it on Xbox, great game. Then it came out on PC and bought it aswell. And I was waiting for a sequel to fable. A couple of days ago a mmorpg about fable crossed my mind.

What if you gave peter molnyeux a mmorpg developing team. He blow a whole new wind into the current generation of MMORPGs. Just like he did with Fable one. If there would be a Fable III as MMORPG I would be so thrilled.

The man who makes Fable would never do it....nor do I think it would turn out very well...I am somewhat nervous about Fable 2 (although Fable 1 was easily one of my favorite games of all time, I beat the game 12 times)

I have played EVERY MMO
Playing: LotRO - SHADOWBANE - WoW
RIP: Earth and Beyond, Mythica, Middle-Earth Online

Quite a few ideas from Fable 2 I'd like to see in an MMO. Character morphing; physically and morally, and the world reacting appropriately to how a character changes. AI with simulated emotions. Things like that.

Some of Molneux's thinking though seem at first incompatible with the way MMOs work. With Fable 2 he's attempted to eliminate "UI" as much as possible, and slim combat down to the pressing of one button as much as possible.

Those are actually things I wouldn't mind being apart of MMOs though actually, but if there were to be a Fable MMO built upon ideas of the singleplayer series, it'd be a big reinvention of a lot of things.

On an end note, Molyneux joked about wanting to create an MMO last year's GDC: http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/03/gdc_sakaguchi_a.html

I wouldn't doubt it if it's seriously crossed his mind though. I believe when traditionally singleplayer RPG creators like Bethesda roll out their first MMO, companies like Lionhead might follow suit.

Played Fable 1 on Xbox, but that was before the whole lost chapters thing. I did like the game a lot, it was just really short and felt unfinished. It would be interesting to see a MMO based off Fable though.

Why does everyone think a game, TV show, movie ect that was good, needs to become an MMO? In some cases MMOs can ruin ones love for a particular game genera or IP once they're made into an MMO. Some things are better left the way they are IMHO.

Aye, the components that make Fable unique and fun would not and could not survive a port to MMO status. What would be left would be little different than WOW or EQ.

Not playing MMOs, and hating every minute of it.

The fantasy setting is currently overused and overplayed. Sure thing, people like fantasy. But there is little variety at the moment, which is something that doesn't seem to be bound to change any time soon.

Fable was a great single player experience, but that does not automatically translates to a good MMO that has enough uniqueness and variety to stand up among the rest of the current and close to be released titles.

I've got to agree, I loved playing Fable and I am very much looking forward to seeing Fable 2, but I don't think it would port over to an mmorpg very well, a lot of things which make Fable so different and fun to play, just would not work in a mmorpg and if you take these things out, it just wouldn't be Fable anymore, I think this game should be left alone, although a co-op version would be nice addition to the game.
