"We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand" - Randy Pausch |
I know there are a bunch of reviews around, but I am just curious. What was everyone's favorite and least-favorite feature? I have was not able to participate, so unfortunately I can not make a judgement for myself. Thanks for responding. |

Most favorite was probably the character generator. Least was probably the combat system. |

If you try to fail, but succeed, which have you done? |
Most favorite - Good graphics with smooth performance on my part.**had settings at low, stuff still looked amazing. and smooth.
Least favorite - Not being able to test everything else out.
Second most favorite- The armor sets. Check my review for link to screenshots of the armor.
Second least favorite - Small graphical hitches that would happen involving shadows, as well as weird lag when i first joined in and changed graphics
Third most favorite- Combat system; not going to elaborate don't feel like it
Third Least favorite- Rangers and their overpowerness in PVP.

favorite feature would have to be the graphics engine with combat at a close second, the engine looks amazing even on low so if you dont have the best pc your not looking at stick figures or wow lol least favorite feature, there all nice but i guess the skillpoint/feat system the SP there are few option to dump them into, and for feats although deeper than wows just didnt have enough time or levels to get any use out of it and there was no point counter for feats

I liked just about everything about it. The PvP minigames were pretty much what you expect to see in MMO's these day (nothing new) but the combat system was intriguing though I am still waiting to see some spellweaving, the combos are pretty cool (although a bit awkurd to get used to but I am sure that will be easier when you do them more), and the fatalities add a certain spice to the game that other games are missing. The graphics are amazing even running in DX9 so I REALLY can't wait to see them in all their DX10 glory. The sound and music are also pretty top notch. The PvE experience was really well done although pretty short, mobs so far drop "appropriate" loot (ie: Apes drop bananas, not armor). The feats system seems really well thought out and has some real nice depth to it. The only downside I really saw was that they still need to do a bit of class balancing but I have no fear that will be looked at before launch. Playing a healer was actually interesting and didn't involve the dreaded "whack-a-mole' syndrome that most other games fall into. Overall, I give the game an A and I was actually sceptical about the game before this weekend so I am certainly not a fanboi. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask ;) |
