When I click the link in my email 'get beta access', it takes me to the beta page where it lists two batches for todays date. Both have a status of 'Confirmed'.

Does this mean I have a key? Cause I sure don't see it anywhere....

Means the keys are out already. 1 hour after they released the mail the first batch was gone already. Not sure if they gonna release more batches of if they released all of them.

They will be releasing keys up to April 30th. Looks loke 2 batches a day, random times. If I may suggest, use the Comrade feature to get the update when the next batch is released, as the e-mails sent seem to be at least an hour behind, and by then the keys for that batch get taken.

From my understanding, there is a total of 50,000 keys, released 5000 a day between the two batches (2 so Fileplanets download servers are not overwhelmed with the really large file size).

Yes, to receive the key once released (if you are fast enough that is) you must be a paid subscriber to Fileplanet.

I've had a sub there for years, and have enjoyed other games only available first to subscribers, so there is a benefit to belonging to their site. Some do not want to pay to test a game, thats fine, but as a subscriber, I get alot out of that site.

"Confirmed" means they have the keys for today ready to distribute, but haven't release wither batch yet, "Distributed" means try for the next batch.

I agree that a pay to play beta would be considered "weak", but Funcom does not even need to allow an open beta, so I consider the general public lucky that they even offer this as an option to test this game. Most just want to play the game before spending upwards of $65-70 for the pre-order, and as I actually like to do technical betas, I disagree with the whole "open beta" thing.

2 options for those that want to test/play. Subscribe or don't. As stated earlier, I am a sub there, and have enjoyed Many benefits of being one, not just subbed for one game. But to each his own.

No you pay for Fileplanet for the the fast download and the avoiding lines when downloading there files. The beta's are just an extra. With infect is pretty common these days.
