Probably high settings.

KEEP IN MIND.

This isn't a stroke your epeen thread.  It's meant for people who are unsure if their PC will run the game.  Obviously if you have a quad core, 4 gigs of RAM, and a 8800 Ultra, you're going to be able to max out the game.. and you know it.

I need to know if my PC's will run AoC, here are the specs:

PC #1

Intel 2GHZ

1Gig Ram

Radeo 9600

PC#2

AMD 2500 Barton

1 Gig RAM

GeForce 6600GT

One PC is mine, the other is my wife's....so basically both of them will have to run the game in order for us to play this game. Now I understand that we won't be able to run the game at full blast or anything...but I hope our machines will at least make it playable.

Also, is it true that the game is gonna require 30g HD space? If so, that pretty much rules out my wifes PC.

k stupid question incoming....

I have bought all the components for my upgrade except the vid card. I had decided on the 8800gt 512 card but I am wondering if its worth it to buy the 9600gt 512 for a bit cheaper. I know they have less stream processors but beyond that I have no clue which is the better card for this game. If anyone has a helpful bit of info I would greatly appreciate your help and opinion. Thank you in advance.

True Love Never Dies

I'm curious how other players or testers think this PC will run AoC? *I can handle low/off settings, especially after seeing how good they look compared to other mmos*

Windows XP SP2

DirectX 9.0c

Motherboard: ECS K8M890M-M

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (2.0GHz)

Ram: 2GB 533mhz DDR2

Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB

Sound: Onboard RealTek AC '97 Audio

Monitor: Tops at 1240x1024 4:3/5:4

what's the price difference you're looking at? It's actually a pretty big gap as far as the fill rate. A lot of times you won't tell a difference. you'll tell a difference with the speed of something going across the screen and if it looks blurry or not. siege's you might because there'll be so much stuff moving on the screen, you'll be able to notice between the 2. But if you've never seen the 8800 perform i don't think you'll really be dissapointed cause the 9600 will be your new standard.

True Love Never Dies

In the interview on the main mmorpg page, that product director guy says it the client is 18gb?
