Age of Conan

  It just seems like the fans and the haters are in overdrive with this game.  More so than other recent releases, perhaps it's just all the hype.

  I have to admit I'm a tad put off by recent events, but, my first hand knowledge is limited at best.  As a result I'll wait and see versus choosing a side quite yet.

  Well, time to head up to the store and stock up on popcorn.  Mmmmm .......... popcorn.

I understand what you mean with this game i am taking a chance if it plays out nicely then sweet if not then i guess i will wait for the next game on my radar which is Aion.

No one really expects a smooth launch I don't get it why so many people presume that.

I am guessing that launch will not be a perfect one, but I will be there to give my support and feedback to Funcom so they fix the game in incoming patch.

It is not solution to just drop the game at minor sings of trouble.

Is there any point in this thread that warranted it's creation?

I am going all-in for this one. In the next 30 days I expect to spend around $1200 just for AoC. If it fails.... well if it fails I now have a gaming computer...

Perhaps you need to read a bit more about Aion before you lump it in with other Asian games. I think you will be hearing more WoW comparisons the closer to launch (even though that would be off as well).

As far as AoC, it might not be the most smooth launch but it shoud do "ok". I think because of games such as Dark and Light, Vanguard, Pirates of the Burning sea, etc, players have just gone off the deep end with their expectations. If they don't start changing their paradigms they are going to need therapy.

to answer your question in the topic real simple,

NO, not for me anyways, if i like the game i won't care about anything else and that is all that matters.

Not really, which makes it fit right in with most of the rest of the threads lately.

There are trolls everywhere and for every game.  Especially just before launch.  MMORPG.com is getting worse with the ramblings of trolls, and those too lazy to do a little googlin on the subject before they mindlessly post.  Heck, even the official forums are getting worse.  Never-the-less i would not worry about it.  Fucom learned alot from thier AO and did a BEAUTIFUL job with TLG (STILL WAITING ON THE THIRD ONE BTW FUNCOM).  Don't let your mind be convereted by the recent fourm doom-sayers.  Besides there is nothing we can really say until OFFICIAL launch on May 17-20th.
