Thats a nice Q to see how Hardware companies like Nvidia, ati , amd, intel got some extra sales over AoC. :)

There's an option missing.
4) I upgraded because of more Games coming out needing better hardware. Among them AoC, but certainly not the only one. |

Since games are requiring better hardware, I upgraded two years ago for christmas. Since I don't want my computer to live in the stone age, I update every 2-4 years.
And since this is a good thread to show my medium size E-peen ------------------- Geforce 8800GTS Ultra 640 MB Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz 2.39 Ghz Windows Vista 32 bit Home Edition (and I have never had any problems with Vista, although a lot of the problems with Vista are from out dated computers, so that is probably why I never had any issues.) 2gig ram And tons of harddrive space. ----------------- With this spec, for recent games, I could play Crysis on high and Vanguard on high graphical settings (Vanguard wasn't very optimized though, so I didn't get the best performance. I assume I'll be playing Age of Conan on high or highest settings as well, or a mix of both. |

Yuh, updated purely because I hated the fact I wasn't going to be able to play the game on high settings with my old system. Now everything is running smoothly, hopely for a long time. Though installing the 64bit Vista was a bit tricky since the OEM DVD wasn't really up to date and my motherboard was just out of the factory so I uh... Had to get around the problem by installing my Vista from p*rated retail version with service pack 1 included, then activate it with my OEM key. |

I needed to upgrade last year but with the delays only just done it, and got more value for my money (all 3k of it) But its not just for AoC (though primarily) |

I'm buying a new comp, not entirely for AoC but definitely is playing a part in it. Mostly because my current comp is at a point where it basically can't be upgraded anymore... this is a slap to the face that I'm in need of a new comp for future innovations to come. |
