You're adding insult to injury.  Missing work (pay too - unless vacation) and wasting that unpaid time by playing a capped beta that will be wiped before launch.

I have things to do today, one of them is work.. I won't even get to play.  Fortunately, the servers will be up when I get home and I'll be happy because I actually got paid, allowing me to get that 24 inch monitor that I've been saving for.

Haha don't worry!  In my guild there are many people your age, and some older, and some younger that are the same way.  If you think this is bad wait until Friday night May 16th.

Hmmm.... you weren't the sunny kid in your class were you?

Who cares if it's a beta? I think the goal is to have fun and enjoy oneself.... it is no more a waste to enjoy 2 hours playing a closed beta (or anything for that matter) than it is to spend a few hours enjoying a good movie,  or time spent reading a book. Either way, the goal is spend some time doing that which makes you happy...

As for actually taking a day off from work to play... well... we are all at different places in our lives...(with different priorities) some can afford to take a day off....  some can simple do a little gaming while working from home... for all you know, he could be the owner of his own company and taking some time off....

either way....  lighten up...
