I have a Logitech MX510 5-button mouse. In other MMOs I'm used to binding auto-run to a thumb button (MOUSE4) and nearest target to the other thumb button (MOUSE5), but in AoC I can't get the game to recognize the buttons. I'm running Mouseware 9.80 (SetPoint screws up my machine for some reason). Can any of you people get AoC to recognize the extra buttons? |

ya, no1 can UNLESS u bind the mouse button(s) to a keyboard key(s). u could bind mouse4 to J, then ingame bind autorun to J. kinda gross, but the only way to get it to work atm. i hope retail impliments extra mouse button binds. |

The lack of extra mouse button binding is just rediculous. It's like this game was made 10 years ago. This isn't the only mechanics problem with AoC either. Typing commands is a pita as well as the flashy but barebones UI (although the map/waypoint system is great). Anyway they need to add mouse button support asap. |

There's also other quirks with binding just involving the keyboard. Most games I play view the numpad separately from the 4 direction keys. For us left handers numpad and the directional keys are a very common integrated schema. In AoC you can't use them together. |

Same trouble here and am passing on the game as a result. It is just pitiful to not have more robust key remapping especially given the rather clunky 'new' interface/system. Worse still - even as I cannot use my extra mouse buttons I cannot even use them for push to talk in voice com (Ventrilo or whatnot) as whenever I do my character starts running in game. AoC RIP to me over this - my character didn't get off the beach as I could not tolerate such a clunky and unyielding system. Oh well, there are always other games. |

Even though I do not have any issues with this yet I can fully understand everyones frustrations and it is a major problem for those who like to re-map buttons, especially extra mouse buttons.. Its hard for me to understand how they could do so well graphical wise and yet screw up something so simple, especially something that gamers have been accustomed to for how many years now. |

| As long as your enjoying the game and having fun, then thats all that matters. |

If Funcom is so utterly clueless as to how people play games there is no way they can possibly make a game worth bothering with. It is nearly unimaginable in this day and age of gaming they could go live with such an antiquated mapping system. |
