I have a decent set-up

nvidia 780i mb

intel quad core @2.66 ghz

8800 gts 512 mb

4g of 1060mhz ram

500gb hd

windows vista home premium--

you get the jist of my system

i get the expected lag sometimes worse than other times

But how am i suppose to beta test and give feedbak when i crash every 15-20 min for no apparent reason

I have been an aoc fanboi since day one-been trying to get in every beta and finally made it in-i like what i see but i cant see much cuz of these crashes-no sooner than i see something "oh cool" crash to desktop.

Im getting really down and discouraged- i have beta tested many mmos- and based on my past exp--- i was actually able to beta test them- i cant even stay on aoc long enuff to find enjoyment or assist in any beta testing

IMO this has to be the worst beta-FOR ME- i have ever been involved in-and im wondering if the guy they are interviewing is actually talking about AOC-cuz he says a MINORITY of people are having probs--- just based on mmorpg.com forums alone i would tend to disagree and say its the majority are find ing problems in one way or another.

I have already pre-ordered and will keep it and play at release and as bad as i want this game to succeed,everytime i log into beta i get more discouraged -so im beta retired from AOC and will cross my fingers until release

FFA-PVP--- GREAT guess ill just get pwned by folks as i crash when they attack me

So what he is saying is correct, the OB was never an old client.

I was really hoping it was the old client. But  it's not. This really brings alot to light. And if this is the closed beta client, then what are the people in closed beta saying that it is different, and the CB one runs better? My performance has gotten worse and worse over the last few days....and not even due to population. I have a character in the tavern right at the beginning of tortage, a level 6 necro who i cant even log into...because 10-15 mins into loading it hangs up, and when and if i do load, i cant move for a good 5. This is after i just defragged and removed the shader files.

IF this is the client they are going with, and they said there are not going to be any major fixes to it, then this launch is going to be really rocky.

just out of curiousity...i would love to see who the liar is that started to OB is old client rumor

One of my friends wants to play it so bad he reboots like every hour or something just so the game runs ok.

See once the game crashes one time it fubars your video somehow to the point only a reboot fixes it (for the game) , otherwise the game ctd's like every 2 minutes.

WindowsXP is more stable than a game, never thought i'd see the day!

Anyway, my point is this game is not ready for launch, and I won't be buying it. It's just plain not ready.

Wow........that's an old-ass bug!  They fixed that one months ago on closed servers.

thats kinda odd considering the open beta is the same as closed beta client, even if the CB was patched recently to rectify (in the last week) then it was not fixed a month in

I believe it was an email or something that stated that the OB client is "a couple versions" prior to the PvP weekend client.

I'm pretty sure it was an official source as well.
