Still, I kinda think Michelle Obama is hot......rather look at her than McCain, Barack, or Hillary.

Maybe I'll write her in......

But not as hot as Dennis Kucinich's wife.

While my heart goes out to those who have fallen in battle, I fail to see your point.  I assume you are hinting (by CHANGE) that Obama will use his extensive foreign policy experience to put an end to this war.  If he wins, I hope so.  Unfortunately, so far, the only real CHANGE I've seen from him is that he is the only candidate not afraid to embrace racism.  Change is a very vague notion...maybe I could run and make my slogan HAPPY.  Why not, people like be to happy, the same way  they like change?

My point is, this Wright nonsense has been going on for 6 weeks while all of the above listed people (and more not listed) lost their lives. I would like to put things into perspective. This is the type of CHANGE families can see in six weeks. The violence in Iraq is climbing, from 29 deaths in Feb to 39 in March, then rose again to 52 in April. There were also more than 650 wounded during this period.

I am somewhat glad that the Wright story got so big. It gave Obama a chance to truly explore racism in a political setting, which has historically only been exploited for political gain. Then again, maybe those days aren't behind us and we are still living in the past. Change is the key. I applaud Clinton for holding many of the same views on the wars, economy, health care. We also need to change the way we view race relations. This standard that people want to hold Obama to is merely guilt by association, of which we all are guilty. Do you really believe that Obama is a racist? Or, are you simply appalled by what Wright said? In my case, it's the latter, for which Obama agrees.

Remember the tongue stud? Now, that's "news". I have to scratch my head when these ridiculous "stories" break.

politics aside. given the fact that violence always increases during our election cycle is suspicious, would you not say? it shall rise and peak in october to influence our election.

i thought yesterday to myself, self, hardly any news about iraq on the major networks(i watch the liberal networks). I find that also suspiciious. considering iraq news footage will begin once the dems have their nominee.

i still dont think we will leave iraq if a democrat gets the presidency. and if we dont, i say we burn and crucify all those politicians that publicly opposed and denounced our efforts over there during the past 2-3 election cycles.

yea.

Of course we won't just leave Iraq immediately if a Democrat become President.  There is way too much pressure from the world to "clean up" our mess.  What we will get is a plan for an organized withdrawal.  McCain's answer is just to stay the course until our troops can come home with honor or some such bullshit.  That is unacceptable.  The war is costing Americans around  $720 million dollars EACH DAY (source: Washington Post).  Meanwhile, our economy is doing terrible and we're blowing a mind-boggling amount of money on George Bush's stupid ego trip.  It astounds me to see people actually support McCain and want to keep the current economic crisis going.  I'd like to remind the young people in America that troops are not an unlimited resource: how long do you think it's going to be until the USA initiates the draft?

And here inlies the proof of why Obama will win the presidency: USA Today poll

If you had to choose, which do you think is better for the U.S. -- to keep a significant number of troops in Iraq until the situation gets better, even if that takes many years, or to set a timetable for removing troops from Iraq and to stick to that timetable regardless of what is going on in Iraq?
Here is the answer, consistent with virtually every other poll that has asked the same question for many, many months:

Take particular notice of the independents in this poll. The pressure to withdraw only gets greater as the violence increases. McCain will probably use that as a platform to preach national security, but it won't work this time. We are now wise to the tactics of arbitrarily raising national threat levels.
