Game just rocks now. Load times are down to almost nothing! That helps a lot. The game seems to ahve stoped hitching completely for me and I can run with bloom on with settings set to full and high on everything! I don't know what Funcom did...but with the load times going to merely a couple of seconds now this game will definitely be much more fun to play! THANK YOU FUNCOM!!!!

Yeah the game took a complete 180 after this last patch. Guess they weren't just spinning when they said that they had a miracle patch to come. While I still have lower FPS than I would like I am able to pull a passable 20-25 fps on Medium and 30-40 on low. Woot. I played the game for about 3 hours tonight without any problems other than one of my characters getting stuck and /stuck nor my recall would unstick me. Oh well. All in all I 80% happy with the game right now from 20% happy a week ago.
I am actually happy to say that I have the game on preorder. |

My crashes are completely gone. 'sides that I was already running with everything maxed prior to the patch at 40-60 FPS. AoC runs pretty much perfect for me now. |

I was running on High with about 40FPS in Tortage before the patch, now its about 45-50FPS, but the game itself looks a lot better for me after the patch. The lighting and fog effects are definitely better now, and the game has the real gritty visual style to it now. My loading times have reduced drastically as well, about 5 seconds loading Tortage down from about 30 seconds. Small areas like Taverns and caves load almost instantly now. I was 100% looking forward to this game before the patch, now its like 500% dynamite! Cheers, Riker99 |

I was there during the launch of AO...Back when the cry was "Funcom, the company that put the FU in fun" There seems to have been a real change from those days. AoC is still in beta and it's not perfect, but it's a lot better.
It says a lot about how cynical I have become. I read they were going to patch and boost performance and I said to myself "Yeah, right. Maybe in 2 or 3 months you will". You earned this one Funcom |

truely the best patch ever. my fps went from .5 to 40 no matter what i do i can't drop my fps. it's truely amazing
