... MUDs; they made up characters and pretended. Little kids did it, and lonely people. - Gibson

None of the above...

Darkfall devs have just put out that theyll be releasing inside of 2008, so if you want to see a shitstorm of epic proportions hang out at their forum during launch

Theres just noooooo way they can keep up with the self-induced hype that the community has generated, odds are it will play like Dark n Light ^^

*edit* dont get it wrong, im a severe fanboy myself and would kill to see it well implemented, its just that the odds are... slim

All this talk of AOC makes me want ot go play Oblivion. At least that game is well made! AOC will take the same tumble as Vanguard did. Except I do not think AOC will be as bad as Vanguard. But still bad! I just do not see any large scale battles in AOC.

I'm sure some people will be disappointed in every one of them.  I don't think any of them will be total failures.  If I were to guess about sales, I'd say WAR will beat AoC (even though it launched first) and WotLK will outsell both of them put together considering it has the numbers already.  If I had to guess which one would disappoint the most people after purchase, I'd probably guess AoC.  I think many people who buy it are going to be surprised that it's not what they thought it would be.  Even more people, however, might have issues regarding performance on their systems.  I've preordered both AoC and WAR.  Hopefully AoC will entertain me until WAR is launched... maybe even after!  My husband will play WAR and the new WoW expansion.  I've played WoW enough and have no intention of picking it up again.  Although, you never know.  I go back to CoX all the time.

I was personally dissapointed in AoC, thought they could of done some things better to make the world more emmersive.

For the WOW addicts Wrath of the Lich King will me more of the same, WAR will catch its audience, since they play relatively save, but AoC... I am sure it will be no total flop, but it may loose substantially after the hype is gone.

Personally I don't either AoC or War will be big hits.  AoC has major performance issues and their FFA-pvp servers are dumb mistakes.  War is being done by Mythic, I don't have great hopes for that title either although War has a much stronger following than AoC so it has a better chance because they held it back for more developement, Funcom will just never learn.

The theory of evolution is as much open to doubt as the theory that the earth goes round the sun.

YOUR ALL WRONG, lol.

you forget. they have said darkfall is coming out this year. I know its likely it won't, but imagine if it does.

think of all those 10 years of promises and fanatical fanboysm shattered by them actually releasing the game.

my god, there'll be tears.

I find it amazing that you all know anything about AoC, since no one has played the release version yet.  I was there for Vanguard.  AoC does not even compare.  I've had no problems in the older version of AoC besides the occasional memory leak.  I think that AoC will do well.  I'm not really interested in War, but that doesn't mean I want it to fail, I just prefer AoC.  I think you all just love to hate.
