It's a game forum about an mmo that is supposedly in development, people who come here largely do so to discuss and argue about mmo's. Guess what, that doesn't exclude this one, freaky eh?

All in all the minority here are most likely those that believe the game isn't vw. So discussions as to the validity of its existance is going to be a rather prime subject on forums dedicated to it, no?

Does it mean their lives are any more 'god aweful boring and uneventful' than someone who wastes their time to come here and act as galiant defender of the 'close minded and naive'?

Becuase they have nothing else to promote other then what they have allready promoted.

They dont need to promote there game becuase when its released it will be the best game ever and everyone will play it, and they are to busy developing the game for PR anyway.

 Why aren't they showing off this game to everyone who can see it to build hype and momentum for the 2008 launch? 

They have nothing to show that would build up hype or momentum, and if they did show anything it would show that the 2008 launch is unrealistic and / or misguided.

They dont need to show the game to build up hype or momentum for the 2008 launch becuase launching the game will generate that, and they are to busy developing the game for PR anyway.

 I mean, they ARE trying to make money, right? 

They have been making money for 7 years whilst there investors have been paying  there salary's, so far no need to actually release anything yet to make money.

No they are trying to make the best game ever for us to play, not to make money.

The point of developing a game for nearly a decade would be to walk away a millionaire...

It appears they dont actually have to develop a game to become millionaires, just attracting investors willing to invest millions for development of a game appears to be sufficient.

They are making the best game ever for us to play, they are not interested in becoming millionares, but they will be after releasing the game.

2.)  Are they the only company in the world with the technology to self-Beta their AI Bots?

No, there are no company's in the world that can adeqautely self-beta with AI bots.

But there is one developer in the world who would attempt to justify  not publicaly beta testing by making vague and unsupported outrageous grandiouse claims about AI bots bieng sufficient instead.

Yes, becuase they are the most talented and skilled developers in the world.

  I've never heard of any other MMO having this ability.

Thats becuase no other MMO developers would attempt to claim that they did.

That's because Darkfalls developers are at the cutting edge of revolutionary technologies.

3.)  Credibility,  If I had spent years developing a game and so many people questioned my credibiliity, or whether my game even exists at all, I would certainly want to prove them wrong with at least some form of the game going public...

They cant improve there credability by proving there game exists becuase by showing there game they know it would only damage there credability even more.

Only people who ask questions like this have no credability becuase they are troll,carebare hater alt acounters, They know they dont have to prove themselfs to people like you becuase after they release the game you will all be proven wroung, and they are too busy working on the game anyway to waste time on people like you. (troll,carebare hater alt accounters)

 

Is Darkfall a scam? 

Not untill we start paying can it potentially become a scam for the general public, wether or not investors in the past have been scamed remains to be revealed.

But at least one Norwegian investor lost roughly 450-500k $'s when Razorwax moved to form Aventurine in Athens, Greece.

Only troll, carebare hater alt accounters dare to suggest such a thing.

 They don't defend the game much, they don't try to improve their credibility, they don't really do much but put out a dev journal every now and then.

Putting out a dev journal every now and then is there attempt at defending the game and improving their credability, they apparantly are unable or unwilling to much else.

They dont need to defend the game or improve their credability becuase releasing the game will do that, and there too busy developing the game to waste time doing so for people like you (troll, carebare hater alt acounters).

I REALLY want to play the "idea" of Darkfall, but so much of my intuition tell me that this is a hoax, a scam, or they just aren't competent.

Probably best to follow your intuition until the developers prove your grounds for suspicion are unwarranted.

The developers of Darkfall are the most competent developers ever thats why they are developeing the biggest and best most feature complete MMO in history.

When they release the game they will prove to all the troll carebare hater alt accounters that they are not perpetrating a hoax or a scam. 

The developers could EASILY prove the doubters wrong by demonstrating a working version of this game, which they claim is feature complete, to anyone.

Not easy if you dont have a working feature complete game to demonstrate. 

They will prove all the doubters wroung when they release the game. 

For all we know this could be 3 or 4  guys over in Greece pulling a major hoax on the world just to get a laugh.

It was 4-5 guys before december 2002, now its 20-30 guys who potentially might be doing so.

Only troll, carebare hater alt accounters would ever suggest Darkfall was a hoax.
