I wanted to say thank you all who gave reviews on AOC the good ones and the bad ones.

I also wanted to say to all the people who has something to say about the game that is so negative.  Please let us all wait till the game is released and give it a real month or two to give the game a real review. 

I understand that the game is in open beta and open beta to me is a stress test. 

I understand about getting burned by MMO ( Vanguard) sometime you have to take a chance and find out yourself if the game will be good.

I understand about some negative post, some are trying to save people money and time. I thank people who have takin the time to really  point out the good and the bad about the game so far and other negative post are just hateful and those need to stop only because the game is not out yet.

Actually, your post is more troll-ish than theirs.  Only the idiotic go around the forums and call everyone they can a troll or a fanboi.  Another definition of a troll is someone who joins a topic and contributed absolutely nothing to it.  IE, your post.

People will do what they want to, it doesn't matter what you say.  Ultimately, the intelligent will buy the game and try it for themselves, or they'll get a buddy key and trial it before they make a decision.  The stupid people will take other peoples word for it.  Their friends will tell them it sucks, therefor, they will believe that because they don't have a brain in their head.  It's just like high school.  Which, I can kind of understand, since a lot of high schoolers will be playing AoC.

That doesn't mean I don't think it's stupid though.

OP should go read the definition of the word : FORUM.

If you haven't already felt compelled to pre-order or even purchase early access, but rather have the patience to wait and see how a game launches and what the word of mouth is after the first month, this is definitely a game to take a "wait and see" attitude on.

I don't think the "verdict is in" either way. As much as I see potential for a hit, I also seen warning signs of a dud.

It will be interesting to see how it all turns out. If it's a great game, Funcom will take some major lumps for it's horrible Open Beta and NDA strategy. If it's a dud, I guess you can congratulate them on perfect use of "smoke and mirrors" to maximize box sales.

In either event, there are enough warning signs that no one who plays from day one can later complain if they feel they wasted their money. This is clearly a "wait and see" title. Everyone will have to weigh the risk/reward ratio for themselves. Those who have vowed not to reward shoddy MMO development with blind early purchases, not a time to "throw caution to the wind". :)

I will be taking a chance.  I plan on buying the game.
