If I'm not mistaken, AoC doesn't take advantage of SLI yet - I'm not 100% sure on that. |

32 Gigabyte with Vista 64 is the ONLY solution to play without frame drops. And a 8800GTS with 1 Gig. (I don't know for their code), but that would be far more important than the processors |

My good lady, could you spareth a moment of your time to loan me a piece?I needeth to bust some caps. |
Originally posted by Zorndorf uhh what are you even trying to say in this post? That is completely false. You only need one 8800GTS with 4 gig ram and a core2duo for max settings. SLI does help A LOT though. Age of conan only takes about 3 gigs of ram, and the processor doesn't have to be top of the line, but a new one doesn't hurt. |

SLI (Nvidia) / Crossfire (AMD/ATI) - When you put more then one Video Card in your computer and link them so one will process the odd lines and the other with process the even lines - giving you double the performance. As for CPU's if the Quad isnt much more then the duo go with the quad core - AoC benefit much - but you'll always have the head room for other games and possible AoC patches down the road that will take advantage of 4 cores. |

Few men are born brave. Many become so through training and force of discipline. |
You could always start with a duo on a motherboard that will upgrade to a quad.. the 3.0 ghz duo is all you need and an 8800 GTS, and the more RAM, the better. |

I just wanted to point out that Conan is way out of proportions on graphics specs for present day normal users (about 95% of PC gamers). HDisks are the further bottleneck for those other 5 % in Conan. Loading data is hardly exceptable these days if the norm is on seamless open world MMORPG's. 32 GB or even 64 GB internal Ram would be perfect to see the pixeled tits without loading screens. (pun intended).
