So it has been officially stated that Darkfall will become commercially available inside of 2008.

I seriously doubt that this game will see the light before the end of this year. And don't say that Tatos said it will be. He's been saying that for years. I do not trust his words. Solid proof will be much better and i'll eat my own words if it launches this year.
But until then.. |

i think shan has that about right. but they sound to confendent. only reason it wotn release if they find more problems when they start playtesting than they expected but it will at least start playtesting before hand. release probly 90% chance |

Release this year is not likely, IMO. I have a feeling that we might see the "playtest", or whatever they want to call it, in 2008. That will be a reality check for Aventurine. My bet is that serious problems will be uncovered, and release delayed into 2009+. The wild card = money. No company has unlimited funds, and by now, they have spent a ton. If they are low on cash, they may release what they have, with promises for quick fixes post launch. If they do have a successful launch in 2008 and meet expectations, then these guys are freaking awesome. We should get them off games, and working on important "save the world" projects. |
