So, here is what I've learned so far here on the forums about PvP.  We know for a fact there we don't delevel.  You don't get negative standing for getting killed.  Your standing only goes up the more you kill other players.  There is no diminishing returns for killing the same person over and over.  So, I was thinking about this.  What is to stop two groups of six each to PL not to just 80, but to 20 PvP as well?

What is to stop guilds from dividing in 1/2 and sitting at a spawn point killing their friends that are not in their party until their friend gets a pvp level.  Then the person that just leveled, now it his turn to stand there while the person who has been getting rolled gets his level.

Anyone else see people using this to PL themself to max PvP level to be the first to get PvP the best PvP based rewards?

“Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall”

All of that is true, so unless they have implemented something to prevent this that I havn't heard of....then yes. People exploit, this is true for everything, and AoC will be no acception. Its sad that they have to be the first, and most 1337 players ever. I guess "To everyone their own." I for one would rather take this new game and explore every nook and cranny and enjoy my time leveling and learning the game. Will they be at a disadvantage? Maybe, maybe not. Will they have as much fun as people that are playing legitimatly? Depends on what they define as fun.

Wether they take this out, or fix it some how (ie diminishing returns), they will find a way to exploit it in a new way.

Leave me alone.

So the rating that we were shown we lost when we died in open beta is being taken out?

I wasn't in OB, so I don't understand the question.  Are you talking actually pvp rating or PvP XP?  From what I've read on the forums you don't lose rating if you die, only PvP xp.

It's basically a score, similar to FPS games. The more kills you score, the higher your rating. The more you die, the lower the raiting. Last day of OB my kills were 20 and my deaths were 27.

One fight really pissed me off.. this isn't really relevant, but when I was in one of the Inn's in OB, I attacked a caster with my conquerer, I killed them in about 4 hits, another conq got about 4 swings off before I finished and I ended up killing them as well, though.. with a sliver of health left.  I went back to the door and started resting.. and some douche one shotted me from across the room.  Talk about chivalry..

People are going to do what they can do to get ahead if they have the opportunity.  That's human nature, survival of the fittest.  So.. I guess my story does sort of apply to this.. huh, imagine that.     And yes, your rating goes up and down depending on your K:D ratio and the amount of kills as well.  So yes, two groups could fight and one group could lay down and die while the other gets points.. I suppose there is no way to stop that.  Well, nothing short of a GM watching it.

You know Shannia, it would be really nice to see you make a postive post once in a blue moon.

It's like you research this game just to try and wring 'issues' (even if you have to make them up...) to try and make people worry about AoC.

Almost like it was your job or something...

Pain is fear leaving the body..

On a side note, how is blood money generated in PvP?  Is it automatic regardless or do you have to loot blood money from someone?

My point in putting this question on this thread is  that if you do your 12 account Powerlevel thing, will you generate blood coin as well? Think of that farming and you all getting tells from virutal market companies offering you PvP blood coin..

I really wouldn't worry about this. I have played no form of Beta, but I am very confident that this won't be an option in release. This is the absolute first thing the Devs would have been thinking about when it comes to exploits and if there is nothing in the CB or OB to restrict this, there will be on release.
