What sucks more is actually getting in, being charged the $5, downloading and patching everything perfectly numerous times over, reinstalling your drivers and then updating other drivers, spending all day messing with your computer
yet still getting the "Failed to initialize rendering subsystem" error popping up every time you try to launch the game. After three days I STILL havent seen the login screen... I have an Early Access account and have given up my arm and leg to get this game to work... and I still cannot play.
I want my money back. Too bad it's near impossible to contact FunCom -_-
Hope that made all you whiners about EA a bit more content... |

WHat gfx card are you running with. Also, list your operating system, CPU, DX version ect |

Then again, maybe thats a big plus for me... as most of the launch probs should be ironed out. |

You have a Video card issue - has nothing to do with AoC. Like the second poster said lets try to figure out your problem and get you up and running. My first suggestion is download the current DirectX build http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/ |

I'm almost positive it is thanks to my video card. But trying to play on a laptop presents its share of problems. Most of the motherboard on which I can't really change anything. At this point I'm not looking to try to "fix" it. I've accepted that it's just not going to work. I just wanted to rant by making this post. XD Thank you for all the replies though. Hopefully the CDs will work differently. If not then I hope I can be refunded =] |
