Age of Conan

I wish I had the money to invest in FunCom right about now..  AOC = Winner.    Finally someone gets what an MMO SHOULD BE.

Age of Conan is a winner... Gratz FunCom 

I think they will have a sucessfull game,  however for YOU this is what a MMO should be.   What a mmo should be is highly subjective, and for many this will not be it.    winner? probably 

I'll be trying the game out later this week.  I'll let you know after that.

(though generally I'll reserve judgement till my first level 80.)

I am going to reserve my judgement to a later time when I have played more.    Currently I don't like the zone lay out of tortage area.    Lack of grinding locations or cool dungeons at lvl 1-12 is kinda gay. 

Currently at  5-12  for me was get quest  kill mobs return quest  x 100.

hey at least they had a fairly good launch from all indications, which surprised me after that disaster of a open beta

Not a winner yet. All i know is that they've already ripped me off $15 for advertising an early start for yesterday that never happened.

I execute "AoC-US-EarlyAccess" file and all I see is "Initializing" and then "Unable to connect to the network - please try again later"

How much freaking later...enjoy my $15 for the non-early start, theives. :)

Agreed, though I kind of maybe understand... because I also believe it's a step in the right direction.

Lack of grinding is bad?  sorry I LOATHE pointless grind... makes me think 'THIS is what I would be doing with my time if I lived in this world? Screw that... BUT to each their own I suppose... but if you really want you can easily grind the pirates INSIDE Tortage right behind the 'Hairy Clam' whorehouse.  The respawn rate is very quick.

As for dungeoun, I think there actually is one - the sewers?

The launch was smooth, the game is solid,  it's not drop dead amazing game the fanboys tout, but it is not a loser by any means. The quest layout in Tortage is pretty poor, but the day/night option actually works quite well in my opinion so solo play is pretty nice.

Running on an AMD X2-5200 with 4G Memory, OC8800GT graphics set to high, gets a little bumpy now and then but overall very smooth.

I'd give FUNCOM a 10/10 for launch, one slight delay is just not an issue and 7/10 for the game, solid MMPORG so far, looking forward to getting out of Tortage and into the 'real' world.

Played it for a very long time now, all i can say, its a hit! The game is really nice, and the last month they have done AWSOME improvements in the game. There are alot of whiners in the beta. mainly pvp-kids that wanna solo everything they see, but if you overlook the kindergarden-whining its a really awsome game.

I think its gonna be really hard to master your class, ive tried necro and assassin, and assassin is damn hard to master. Its nothing like a wow-rogue or vg rogue. Its just awsome. My main gonna be a necro tho =)
