It takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a viking to raze a village!

I was up til 4:30 AM EST playing AoC last night, and I haven't had this much fun with an MMO in years!  I got my main (a disciple of Mithra (sp?)) up to 18 1/2.

The storylines are so good in this game!  Without spoiling too much, I was speechless when I was sent to the lower docks of Tortage to help some wounded people that the Red Hand had attacked and tortured.  As I rounded the corner I saw a huge pile of bodies on fire and suddenly a little boy walked out calling for his mother and father...  The dialogue that followed was as good and moving as any I've ever experienced in a game.  And that was just one instance.

If you're into roleplay and world immersion, this game is sitting at the top of the heap right now IMO.  I noticed that if you play different character classes, you get to see the story from a slightly different angle too.  I am getting close to the end of the destiny quests, and I can hardly wait to see what happens next!  I'm off to church and then back in the saddle for another marathon play session!  WOOHOO!
