Just curious, and I know it will vary by server, but how is the in-game community so far in AoC?  Thats always a huge part of whether I enjoy/dislike a game.  Is it filled with Barren's chat Chuk Norris and "omg I see a digital nipple"?

Also, is there a designated RP PvE server?

There's not a designated RP server but many people have made posts trying to get an unofficial one on other websites.

The 'Barrens' chat people are just part of the MMO culture now unfortunately, these people are newer gamers who hide under the anonymity of the internet and therefore say whatever stupid thing comes to mind. No game will change this, it's just part of MMOs now.

Good news is, so far there is no chuck norris jokes.  The good news about the community is, most people that ive grouped with and played with so far are between the ages of 20-50, but that is so far.  The game hasnt publicaly released so who knows, some parents may go buy it for their kids (which i disagree with).  The in game community is very helpfull and the only arguements that I saw come up was which video card is better, but that was quickly put to rest.  This is ofcourse my experiance from the server I play on PVE SET.  Oh and BTW the game itself is amazing, havent hit 20+ yet but have heard great things from in game players that are higher level.

"My soul finds rest in God alone: My salvation comes from Him."

- Psalms 62:1

On the Dagoth server the community seems great so far, people in my guild and grouped with are older(between 16-40). I haven't seen one "nude" person running around since I started, and the ooc general chat is mature(mostly talking about quests, and how their performance is).

Actually I find the community so far to be rather silent.

The OOC chat, which basically is the general chat in a way, hasn't been much used.

When I first logged in, there were some people talking, asking different questions and so on, now it's more silent. I suppose people are busy leveling/pvping or whatever.

Either that, or they turn OOC of and stick to their guild chat. Myself I haven't joined a guild yet, I haven't had an invite either and I don't see it as that important at this stage.

So far I find it mature and calm, I haven't seen any phrases like "n00b, pwnd, l337" or any foul language or even insults. not a single Chuck norris joke

I think also that the community is wary of keeping the chat mature.

I sometimes ask questions, but don't allways get any answers.

The closest thing to annoying I've experienced is when people talk in other language than english that I can't understand, and that's not too bad.

I hope the chat will stay as civil and mature also after all the launches are done, but it could perhaps use a little more activity

You know the game must be doing something right if the ooc chat channel is silent, haha. Yes, it is quiet on the Set server also.

Currently level 23, had to group twice so far, both times had no issues and they were very friendly.

I'm on Cimmeria, the RP-PvP server.

99% of people are mature in Early Access, hell there's barely any ganking going on right now.  Almost everyone just wants to level and explore~

We'll see if that holds up on release.

i turn off my ooc and just talk on vent with people i'm playing with. that's the best way to avoid the village idiots.

It would be so nice to continue having it this way, it's quite relaxing to not have to see the chat filled with spam of all kinds.

Just friendly or at least polite people. Who would have thought, in such a graphic game

And yea, no gold spam so far, haven't seen a single one
