Actually it is between 9600 GT XXX $190.00 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3751563&CatId=3670 or 9800 GTX $340.00 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3747036&sku=P450-9802
Is the GTX worth the extra price rate it has quite the leap in fill rate and memory bandwidth |

If you are willing to buy the 9800GTX you should really switch to Intel. The e8400 will be much faster. For graphics cards I would wait a month or two for the Nvidia 9900 or ATI 4800 series. The 9800 is just a highly overclocked 8800gt with a few more activated steam processors. It's faster but I don't think it's worth the price. Also buy from www.newegg.com they are more reliable and almost always cheaper than tigerdirect. |

Right now, if you go AMD, go phenom. Clock for Clock the Phenom will run faster then an Athlon. Also 1066 mhz ram is pointless on an AMD system, go with 800 mhz. |

video card wise you would be better off going with palets version http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3636416&CatId=3585 This 9600 card is only 119.99 and has an hdmi port right on the card as well. Putting two of these babies in sli would be cheaper then the gtx version and will give a very significant performance boost over 1 gtx ;) |
