Age of Conan

Hello,

As lot of people I'm a bit hessitant if I should quit WoW and start playing AoC.

Altho' I've read some positive feedback from gamers who used to play other MMO's ,I haven't seen a lot of people comparing WoW to AoC.

I just wanted to hear some feedback of people who used to play WoW (people who used to play WoW actively and not some random guys who quitted just when they hit 70,people who had raiding and arena experience) and now they turned to AoC.

Also, since I have played NCsoft and mostly Blizzard titles I don't know if this FunCom is reliable or not.I had tried to play that Anarchy Online which I think was published by FunCom but it was really really bad.

*really thinks people who start these threads should be tar'd feather'd & beaten*  AoC and WAR are completely different games.  If you liek Raids & Hardcore PvP..Play Age of Conan ... if you like RvR & Capitol Seiging play WAR.   If you like both play both. 

and there's been dozens of these threads you must not of looked very hard with the search feature.

I'm a long time WoW player, having raided pre-BC, and post BC our guild made it decently far into SSC and TK. I wasn't in the most hardcore raiding guild but I think i know my stuff (except for arena). I came to AoC for a change of pace and a change of scenery, and it did just that. The graphics are superb. Even with no Dx10 version till August, AoC still has some of the best graphics on the market right now. As for combat it's nothing revolutionary as I'm sure you have heard but it certenly beats spaming frost bolt or the weapon timers. You swing when you want to, and that adds ome sort of activity that most MMOs miss.

I can't really comment on end game since my barabarian is only lvl 28 now, but I'm not too worried bout n e of that. They will cater to end game players if there is a lack of any of it. It is a very solid game, with a few issues that need to be resolved. IF you are on the verge of buying it, my advice is go out and spend the 50 bucks, try it for the free month then make your decision. I love the game personally and am no way going back to WoW.

WAR ? Where did you read that ?  The OP is talking about WOW, not WAR.

I played WOW a lot, so much i got burned out from it.  Havent touched WOW in over 6 months now and still have no desire to ever get back.   I think it's too early to compare WOW and AOC, unless you want to compare AOC with what WOW was when it launch.

WHen the "WOW" factor of AOC will fade, will start to see if the game has what it takes to makes it in the long run.  But so far i'm confident.

They are MMOs none the less. MMO players compair all MMOs to one another. Wgich one has a more fun factor is usually the compairing attribute, but yeah it really depends on your play style.

Ok but what about FunCom?

Is the costumer's server equal to Blizzard's? cauz Blizzard has a way too good costumer service.

Judging from my 2.5 years experience playing Anarchy Online, Funcom CS is pretty darn good.

You don't have to worry about the customer service ;] from what i've heard it's pretty good.
