So you guys how went the US launch? By the looks of how quiet these forums are very well I'm guessing? Just got in from work so spill the beans. Good? Bad? Indifferent? I've got my fingers crossed that everything went well because if it is smooth for you guys then it hopefully will be for us in Europe and dear old Blighty. I see the AoC forums are still locked, not sure what to think about that.

So, lets have it, how did it go?

I think it's quiet because people are actually playing. I would be too, except I had to come into work.

Fellow ally, I wish I knew the same (I assume you are British).  I will be picking up two copies within the hour....Im so excited that I am actually jittery....and Im 42!

Anyway, I just want to know how long the patching will take once the game is loaded.

It was a pretty decent sized patch when I installed from the CDs.  I believe it was like 640megs so it is probably pretty closing to 700megs after the recent updates.

For me, it took about 30 minutes to DL and install on a decent cable internet connection. The full patch was about 600 megs.

I would assume it's because everyone is playing, which is a good thing... bad thing for me, though... hard to find any good info about the game from other players now that they are playing constantly! I'm going to have to wait a week or so until my rig is ready like a bum

GAAAAAHHHH! The anxiety is killing me!

I logged in the minute the servers came on this morning (3:10 am, PST) and played for about 2 hours before I had to go to work.  There were quite a few people running around at that time.  I'm assuming most of the US servers will start to pick up in the next 2 hours as people get home from work. 

Speaking for myself.  Patching took all of maybe 20 minutes.  The largest patch is something like 600MB then there are a ton of smaller ones. 

So far, so good.   Game is beautiful, runs very very well on my PC

I'm from the UK mate and I'm 38 and cant wait to get on lol. I'm not suprised no one is on, I would be playing the game if it was out over here. Cant blame our US cousins for that.

I'm glad it runs good for you fella, cant wait for the EU release, that if play.com get the bloody game to me in time lol.

Just got done playing since it went live early this morning, and yes its quiet because everyone is enjoying the game.  I only had to stop cuz its time for work.  Game is great everyone, you will enjoy it thoroughly, I'm sure!
