Now Playing: Rock Band
Waiting for: Hit songs from 80s and 90s for DLC

A rumor I've seen was the next Funcom MMO was to be something based of The Longest Journey world.

OMG! Ponies!

I personally don't see the point in an AO 2. There's already a large, developed world that's about to receive a new graphics update. What could a new game add that an expansion can't?

Playing: Guild Wars, Ryzom
Contemplating: Everquest II, Vanguard
Anticipating: Aion, Chronicles of Spellborn, Guild Wars 2, Stargate Worlds, Warhammer

Maybe the other 1/2 of RK?

I'd rather see expanding what we have rather than yet another meaningless (at least story-wise) expansion.

Is an entirely new game necessary to showcase the other half? It just doesn't make economic sense to me to scrap a perfectly good game when you could just keep on developing it.

No, I think I didn't write what I meant clear enough.

I meant to say "no" to AO 2.0, and "yes" to making all of AO whole.

Sequels are the antithesis of a persistent world.

EVE has it right...continue to support your existing world with new content, engine updates, and a dedication to your playerbase by bringing the game into the modern era.

The person that made The Longest Journey is making a MMO with Funcom.

Its called The Secret World and its not a rumor, they lunched the forums for it a year ago.
