Simple question really, how big is the world, i've heard its zoned, as in EQ2?? cause that sucked, can i not run from an inn in a capital city out through the main gates and up to the very end of the country as in wow passing through various differing landscapes? What way is it zoned, does it feel alive, for all wow's shortcomings and less of the feck off back to wow posts please, im only using wow as i kinda like its huge open feel and im hoping that AOC replicates that with its amazing graphics, so whats the low down |

Unfortunately its completely an instanced game. Its like everquest in that it has lots of instances, but in AoC EVERY area is separated by an instance so you wont get that seamless travel feeling. Another major issue is that not only are the zones instances, they are instanced multiple times, so on any server there can be as many as 50 instances of a single zone running at once. While the zones can be huge, this still leads to a sense of lonliness because your never a part of the world as a whole. You can be standing in one spot, and in another instance of that spot there can be a huge battle going on. It basically means theres no more chats on the forums about "that awesome battle in orgrimmar!" because that battle was probably in a different instance that you landed in. |

My dog ate your homework. |
I always detested Funcom for "inventing" instancing. I hope it blows up in their faces. |

It sure beats spawn-camping, unless you're below the age where you have to support yourself financially. |

Too bad 'cause otherwise this seems like a great game. I'm an "immersion" player so I will probably not buy this. Spawn camping could be avoided in other ways (like having the specific monster in a separate small instance or just making better missions overall). |

damn it, thanks for the replies guys but that is what i feared, i really hated the loading and instancing of EQ2 and feel it just takes you out of the world and makes it more of a mini lan game |
