Damn, that´s really weird Evasia, sorry to hear you won´t be able to play. But are you really sure you couldn´t use the "Pay by cash"-option? I have read about more than a few people that did this and it worked for them.

It´s truly surprising that you cannot buy Game Time Cards in the stores from where you buy the game :/ I have seen more people complain about that.

AoC wont sell pre-paid cards, it was part of thier plan to keep it an "adult" game.  Least that is what I have heard, been wrong before tho, nothing to see..move on.

Well, if you do keep the game... and play on US servers, roll on Doomsayer so I can rape you repeatedly.

Seriously?  You will not be buying a Funcom product ever again because they are "screwing you" out of $0?  They make you put in billing info but don't charge you until necessary?  They make you put in a timecard but won't use it until necessary?

There are so many ways around this outside of buying a timecard... which I'm assuming is your main grief (not sure if you want to continue playing past 30days).  Quit bitching.


On a side note: I have seen so many Grammar Whores on forums lately.  I'm sure I just gave you all 3-5 hours of entertainment picking apart my incredibly retarded post.

Also, it sucks that a company would make you buy a gamecard just to play your free month, because if you don't like the game within the free month you've still given them the money to play (Assuming you spent the whole month trying the game out before making a decision, it'd be a whole month before you would take the card back and then they wouldn't take it back), unlike with a credit card where you can cancel the subscription before it ever starts.

No ones confusing anything, its simple, you buy the game you wont be able to play it unless you pay some more or sign up to pay some more.  Thats wrong.

His first post specifically stated that shops around him are not selling time cards at the moment, which means he can't play. How was I wrong?

Timecard issue is irrelevant, the point is  if you buy a game from a retailer and you cant play it out of the box then you can return it. Basic consumer rights.  Funcom can do all they want lie cheat steal whatever, but they cant get away with it.   Im going to the store and buy a copy just so i can return it to teach them a lesson, and maybe ill go to another store and do the same thing.  Funcom doesnt care anymore the deals already made, the retailer will get pissed off and never deal with them again.
