Before i get to the patch download ,is there any last minute things i should do to try and make it run quicker. Meaning, turnoff my anti-virus and firewall? |

Total time for patches for me was around 2 hours max, got no message about firewall or av which I left on throughout so I'm not sure it makes that much difference :) |

Antivirus is a pain because it likes to scan EVERY file your computer accesses, and the latest MMO's are born to the resource intensive without holding them up with virus scans. However, try it with it running. And try it without. Just don't have your internet brower software running whilst its turned off and you'll be ok temporarily. But in all circumstances, leave the firmwall on. Don't go mental with whacking the graphics settings up. Start low and work up. And don't forget to restart the game when you've messed with the graphics. ;) Good luck. |

i only ask this question because i previously installed the game but got stuck at the patch for literally about 14 hours without it moving....so i uninstalled it and now im about to reinstall |

Make sure to disable firewall and if running Vista turn on Administrator mode before running patcher/installer. |
