* Update after reaching level 27 *

I registered the account. No problems.

I installed and patched the game. No problems.

I fired up the game and set it on highest settings. 

So far I have played 18 hours. Not a single time have there been
any lag or disconnects. 

The starter area (level 1 - 20) is huge. I've never seen such
a big area before. There are a dussin of dungeons, everyone
is unique. Amazing.

Voice over up to level 20 !!!! . And it's really good quality.
How can people complain about voice overs end after level 20 !!!!
Not even the biggest MMO of the market has a single voice over,
except for sounds like "Zug Zug". People should be glad that there
ARE voice overs

People complained about immature players in chats. Well, that might
be a US - server problem, because on the EU servers everyone is
nice and helpful (at least on my server).

Thank god for instancing. Serveral times I've been in areas
that have quickly been overcrowed. People start fighting over
NPCs. Switching to a less croweded instance is really easy.
I love it. Thank you Funcom . No more wait for NPC spawns.

DX9 or DX10. Who cares !!! They game looks amazing as it is now.
Some places are just jaw dropping.

Combat in AOC is fun. I can melee fight several NPCs at the same
time. No more single target fighting. And I thought that the combat
system would be boring after a while. But instead it's getting better
and better as I increase in level. More complex and cool combos.

I CAN CLIMB !!! Woot ... I know EQ2 has it to. But I'm happy they
added it to AOC. The climb thing allow for better terrains planning.
Instead of huge flat fields, you just climb to a new level. Brilliant

The quest interface is really good. It uses arrows on the minimap
to show you the direction of the quest area. An as you arrive you
will see a big gray circle on the mini-map which show where you
should look for stuff. Thank god. No more ALT-TAB to look for
clues on the web .

The level 1-20 introduction to Conans world is the best I've ever
seen. It's cinematic, and you are the star. I love when the vulcano
explode :)

I feel I'm playing one of the most amazing MMOs I've ever seen.

With max graphical settings i get 30-60 FPS !!! The combat is
amazing. WTF are all the AOC trollers and bashers talking about.

I've played almost every major MMO on the market for almost 10 years.
For being newly released, this is either gods work, or a sick joke.

The only thing I hate right now, Is how to get motivated to play my
other MMOs. AOC have set new standards of what we should
expect from todays MMO .

AOC touched them in bad places.

 They are now relegated to exaggerate things that none cares about in order to fill the empty space constant complaining fills.

You know, there are a lot of stupid people out there, in the world.

Yeah its amazing.  The water is absolutly beautiful.     Theres this spot once you leave tortage, I forget the name, but its something like crows valley, anyways, you can stand in this spot and see this huge zone layed out with a couple villages and streams/rivers and stuff, and in the distance on the mountain a waterfall is cascading down.

Ah, a Blizzard/Mythic/Turbine/Aventurine employee.

 

 

Great comeback, really.

The difference being that blizzard prioritizes their forum trolling employees AFTER the game developers.  Since the product sells itself they don't need to send a crew around smearing other games.  Actually most games do a good enough job of smearing themselves that blizzard doesn't even need to.

You'll find some flaws soon enough, but yeah this game is very impressive.  It may not be the gigantic sandbox I'd like it to be, but for what it is it's well polished, fun to play, has good mechanics, and had a spectacular launch.  People just can't accept that all games have flaws, then they feel the need to bash the game because of one little flaw that didn't meet their expectations.  It's pretty pathetic IMO.
