420watts doesn't seem like enough power for that setup(especially with sli), but yes that is very expensive. I could build the same thing for about $900.

Oh didn't see it came with a monitor, make that about $1200

Go to www.newegg.com, go shopping picking out the items to add to your cart, then see how much you save by building it yourself :)

No, that cpu your buying cost over 1000$. And that motherboard is highly overclockable friendly, your better off getting a q6600 @ 2.4ghz (200$) and just overclock it. The q6600 is able to clock up to 3.6 on air cooling and over 3.6 on water cooling. Your spending way to much, not to mention your really don't need 2 300$ cards right now unless your planning on playing crysis all day long.

Looking at those parts piecemeal:

CoolerMaster Cosmos Silent Gaming Tower: 249.00

CPU: QX9650: 1,025.00

420-watt PSU (just found a generic one): 14.99

EVGA NForce 780i: 239.00

RAM: Mushkin PC6400 2x2gb: 78.99

Vid card: Um...your post has a 9800 GTX and a 9800GT SLI'd...pretty sure you need two identical cards. presuming you meant GTX on both....598.00 for both.

Monitor: Viewsonic 22" LCD: 249.99

HDD (program drives, 2x160gB SATA 8MB cache) 89.99 for both

HDD (storage drive): 61.99

DVDRW: 22.99

total: 2629.94

That's off Newegg. A little heavy digging and using E-bay could knock that down to maybe 2,000. So it's not a bad price, although you might be able to do better if you tried hard enough.
