I'm running the game on a AMD 64 +3200, Nvidea 6600, 1 gig ram and XP.

most people would agree the above spec is total crap and out of date.

WELL... guess what?

I get 25-40 FPS anywhere in game and the game runs great for me. I personally have no complaints about the game.

BUT... HUGE amounts of people do and the fan boys are playing it down as if it is everyone elses problem and not FunComs.

the truth is "funcom messed up big time."

As to the game performance, Im rumming an AM2 6000+ X2 / 8600gts 512/ 4 gigs ram/ Vista Ult. etc etc/ I get same frame rate as you, no matter what I put my settings to, dx10 on or off , and performance is suprisingly good, for a new game. And not bad in general.

Good question, and I'm surprised there isn't more people wondering why that is.

If something that isn't currently enabled, the logical and correct thing to do is to disable the selection in the video options to avoid confusions. Unless confusion is exactly what you're trying to cause.

You sure sound confident don't you? Did you even buy the game? Complaining about the forums makes me believe you didn't. Just a hunch.

I had a terrible time running this game in beta.  I would get 20 - 30 fps or so, which is playable, but I'd also get stuttering and huge drops in my fps from time to time (constantly dying because of it), especially if there was a bit of action around me.  Since the launch, it's much, much better.   I still get a tiny bit of loading lag but that's my so-so processor.  My husband gave me a Geforce 8800 gt (the one with the wee cute fan!) and it improved even more.  (I had a 7800 gt in it)  It runs fine even with this processor which is barely above the minimum requirements but well below the recommended.

I will, however, agree that the official forums are horrible.  Worse than WoW, even.  And that's bad!  I only go there if I am looking for something specific and then I run away as soon as I find it.  A person makes one criticism and the people over there pounce.  Although thing's are much better in the game and the forums reflect that, there are a lot of people still having issues, both in game and with their accounts.  It doesn't seem to be a small number of people with problems, either.  Funcom fails at customer support, in my opinion.  They've made some bad decisions regarding business practices, too.  That doesn't, however, detract from the fact that they've put together a good, fun game.  I'm glad I can play it but I recognise that there are a lot of issues and Funcom isn't particularly good at addressing them in the forums.  People get angry when they feel ignored.

Great post. I'm glad there are people who recognize that Funcom made several questionable business decisions even if the game is great itself. Sadly, without viewing access to the official forums, these questionable tactics and the rumored poor customer support really discourages people who are on the fence like me.

Probably leaning more towards trying the game now, they tried hard enough to get my $50 and some of their smart moves should be rewarded.

I would honestly wait at lest a month before trying out the game, there is a lot of issues to work out.

when they open up the offical forum for view to the public is a good sign the game is off to a good start.
