Is anyone running AOC comfortably using this card?

I'm having immense problems in that my character actually moves a full second after i press a directional key - and this is not around people just simply after being swepped up onto the beach.

I've heard of all the problems that ATI users are having with AOC, but when i check my system against the requirements it passes with flying colours. Some friends are advising that i up my memory from 2g to 4g to cope with it, especially as i'm on Vista and others are suggesting that my card just isn't up to it advising that i purchase an NVidia GForce 7800 at at least but i don't wanna go out and buy both if it's only one of those things i need.

Is anyone running with the 1650 and if so how are you finding the performance? Even if you're not and you know what's causing my problems, any info would be greatly appreciated - and by the way i have updated the drivers.

its a problem with ati cards  should be fixed soon  alot of people with varieying  ati cards are having the same problems.. i have a x1550 its a bit older then yours i think but its still playable for the most part..   basicaly im just waiting it out till the dev team gets off there  vaction and starts fixing everything agin

I really hope you're right and they are trying to fix it. What gets me is that people with ATI cards, older and newer are actually running the game perfectly but others are having massive problems - how come some are and some aren't? I don't get it.

i think part of it is a  a driver issue  in the pvp beta i was getting 25+ fps.. always unless i was in a Big fight..      now im lucky if i get 15+  most of the time..   one thing that help my fps alot at first was switching from shader model 3.0 to 2.0 and turning off water reflections completly    to can do those 2 things without losing much graphics quality  if your going for good graphics     

personaly im gonna see if my video card is working without problems  by the end of the month.. if it isnt i might not subsribe or i might just go get an 8800 gts.. since there only about 100$ right now

There is no 8800GTS for 100$ what are you smoking?

Yes Mark i have the same card running on an AMD 65 3500+ with 2 gig ddr ram and struggling to get this to run smooth at 20FPS.

At one point was going to go buy a new video card, but thats pointless as i will never buy another Nvidia card again. So not upgrading my VC yet.

What i might do is upgrade my whole PC.

Im running XP SP2

Certainly sounds like an ATI issue then as has been described, although i am aware others have having the same problems with NVidia.

As for upgrading the whole system, i can't bring myself to do that. I paid £700 for this just nine months ago, i'll be damned if i'm gonna spend that again just to run one game. Here's hoping they sort the ATI issues - and fast!

a have also  a 1650eax pro  videocard en it seems that i have issues in loading the game en  wen i get lucky after 5 try's its strangels like hell even in low settings!! have reinstald the drivers but it  isn't that!!

i checkt  other games they working  fine!!

i dont know what to do anymore...... damn f*ck*ng ati... hope they gonna fix this verry soon i preorderd the game en cant play  bye bye 30 days free play!! pff man...
