i've tried downloading the patch three times now and everytime it gets stuck on the updating content part, it gets to like 40.mb and jus stays there for HOURS.  Is there anything i can do. it is starting to get a little frustrating.

Are you using a router?

If so, there's posts on several forums and the AoC TS page that might help. If I recall correctly, It involves opening TCP ports 7000-7999 on the router.

try turning on windows firewall and disabling your anti-virus program untill it installs and give it time regardless of changes you make
