Will come back to AoC if: |
Well, TR was finally cancelled today. AoC is a vastly superior game, and has just enough combat twitch to make me turn TR off for good. It is too bad, as I prefer sci-fi but as the title says, there isn't enough meat left on TR to make it stick. I originally predicted TR to be the next big MMO, but this belly-flopped big time, and capturing CP's is only fun for so long. To those you looking for a new change, come try AoC. It may look like a fantasy game, but it looks and feels like something else completely different. |

You made me a bit nervous there OP, I thought when you said canceled, it meant the servers were shutting down. I actually just activiated my mmorpg.com trial a few hours ago and have been having a very good time. More action packed then any other mmorpg I have played so far. I ordered a CE off of ebay and am waiting for it to come so I can continue playing after the 3 days of this trial are over.
I mean if things stay as it have been in the first hour of the game that I have played then I will have no complaints.
But good luck to you OP with AOC, for me. . . just not my cup of tea. |

@Apham There will be more Action as you Progress and some really nice Instances and Story Lines. I know what the OP says, TR can be boring if you play it to much. I will play both TR and AoC for a while. I really like the Setting and the SF Theme of TR and you can allways jump in for 30 Minutes have some instant Action. TR is much more casual Friendly as AoC for me. At least both Games have a different Type of Combat and are fun to play for me |

@Apham and Krakken
Both of you probably haven't played TR since release, so you probably haven't leveled several toons to 50 and probably haven't realized the disappointment of one crap patch after another and probably haven't used up all the (hardly any) content. |

i have a active sub for TR since Release my main is lvl 46 and some alts in the 20's so i think i know what i'm talking about. TR is for casual Play in my opinion. It can be boring an frustrating if you play it to much and i agree that one of the last patches (the engi nerf) was ähm bs. don't had a problem with the rest of the updates and i still like the game. For casual Player its still one of the best games at least for me. |

TR feels too casual for me to pay $15 monthly. Guild wars is casual, and I gladly paid the higher box price to enjoy a Free To Play MMO. IF TR goes down, and becomes F2P, I'd definitely give it a shot. I live RG's ideas. But the game isn't as "drawing" to me, as some of the "big dog" games. |

Playing TR casually is an ok goal. But it is hard to find groups to do the missions you want to do. That is especially true since everyone in my guild left the game. Casual is ok but you need lots of people on line to make that work and I don't think the population is going to be able to maintain that very much longer. |
