Age of Conan

So all in all AoC turned out pretty good. Except for the fact that mages don't scale properly... At all The necromancer  and demonologist pretty much get their ass handed to themselves because Funcom forgot to put PvP into my Mage archtype.

I was thoroughly enjoying the game until it became convincingly harder each time to beat some one my own level, until eventually people could just walk all over me. Hell at level 30 the Necromancer still has a skill that only does 10 damage... 10 freaking Damage. Get off your asses Funcom.

If i were to review this game, I have to say this game has alot of potential but overall don't bother picking it up. I'm going to play the rest of my free month and in a couple months I'm going to see how it's doing, but for now save your money.

The fact still stands that a priest.. A freaking hybrid does the most damage out of every class available, even a pure damage class like demonologist. Words can not explain how broken the class system currently is.

I really do like this game so it is a damn shame.

Spellcasters are wimps anyways

Class balance is always tricky at first, you're smart to give it some time and maybe try it in a couple of months. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Hate to be so harsh but it really seems like retards tweaked the classes. This is sooo bad it's the equivalent of WoW's DRUID at launch, yes it's that bad.

This isn't a suprise, AoC release way too early; they didn't want to compete with Aion, WAR, and the other major mmo's coming out so they launched early.  Now as peopel get up and going and see this mess (see especially the guild gold issues) it shows how bad funcom has things messed up.

I'll agree and disagree with the OP.... Yes casters are weak until 50... but after spellweaving there Amazing.

Isn't that backwards logic? The game gets fun around level 50? Why do I have to torment myself to level 50 and then have fun? It better be the most amazing class ever after 50 then seriously.

Who said anything about  it not being fun? Sorry your mind is stuck in the "WOW world" (easy mode). Easy doesnt = fun for 90% of gamers.....

No one said you dont have fun till 50, the game is absolutely amazing for lower levels, infact the content is slightly lacking for the higher levels (not enough to turn me off, but you can tell there will be more content in the coming months). But if you like the game it shouldnt be a problem getting to 50.

You consider a class that can't even defend its self from other players fun?

You're squishy, you should expect to die. Any caster class gets owned, have you ever played an MMO?
