EVE Online

Since i've been playing Eve online I've been using 30 day game time cards to fuel either one or both of my accounts.  I have always played casually so I normally play 2 accounts for month and put them on the back burner if need be.

Dear CCP,

Asking players to play 60$ at a time if they want two characters is insane. Honestly, what are you smoking? Have you no idea how many players you have playing with GTC? 

I was on your site today considering re-subbing but I have my doubts now. I realize its the same amount of money but its double the money up front and its generally a bad decision.

If you're loosing money on the dollar then raise prices or something but limiting payment options in an era where players are looking for more payment options is silly.

Maybe you should just get set up for pay pal - that would be awesome.

There are so many more ways to pay than buying those game cards. Get a credit card, buy 30 day game time codes from sites that take paypal, or use paybycash. Stop whining, and do some research......

There is also this amazing thing called a pre-paid credit card, that anyone 16 or older can get.

While for now you still can buy the 30 day codes from online shops, I believe they are not being distributed by CCP anymore and so will eventually be phased out and replaced by the 60 day codes. The only way to pay for 30 days will be to sub with a credit card ;)

Paying via paypal is a great idea -  too bad you can't set up a sub directly from CCP.

After June 15 you will no longer be able to purchase 30 day game time codes so your only option if you want to pay monthly is to pay by credit card or pay by cash.

hell ill just tell you...its b/c EU players are dodging the VAT tax and paying A SHIT TON LESS then they should be by buying GTCs and using the excange rates to their advangatge. Now CCP could also fix the issue by only using one form of currency (the iceland moneys, I think its called ISK actually) but that would piss off way more people...so this is the lesser of the evils. Cry to the EUplayers that are making CCP do this....they are a company and they need to make their moneys.

 Also as said above, it doesnt affect anyone that pays a normal sub fee. Prepaid cards are awesome and you only have to be 16.

Well, korvi..if you have the option to pay 50% less if you use the weak dollar..

It's still cheaper to buy in dollars. Current rate is 1 euro -> 1.5 dollars..
