When 1 person dies its a tragedy, when a million its a High score |
here is a discussion for you guys
should mmorpg continue with multiple class selection or would it be more intresting to focus primarerly on 1 class for the whole world.
to eleborate, most mmos have multiples careers or class which ever you call it. warrior, mage, thief...or some other varient. but non of the classes would fill the proper critieria of the class, i.e mages arent really mages since they are limited in what they can do with spells rogues arent rogues since they dont play like rogue (if you played thief the game you know what i mean by not being a proper rogue)
what if an mmorpg focuses on 1 class and makes the gameplay fit its class, if you make a game focusing on mages then it would have a highly developed magical system or a rogue mmorpg that focuses on rogue like gameplay (assassins creed) |

I've never had a problem with the classes in games. There are other things I'd like to see changed first before we go and change classes. |

The UO model is my greatest preference. I enjoy a class system if the classes are truly unique. I really dislike systems that start with archtypes and then have you diversify as you level up (such as EQ2). |
