I haven't played this game since the nge fiasco and was wondering how everything is going here..

Did they ever implement and old school cu or pre cu server? If not are they considering one or 2?

Do the animations still suck?

Is there still only 9 or 12 professions or whatever it was dumbed down too?

Are the servers s till dead?

Is the EMU anywhere near playable?

Is there anything to do besides pvp? I.E quests? Things to attain.. Is jedi still a freebie class?

 Nope , Quest are still stale , You have attain the peace of mind that you have not missed a thing with the NGE - As thousands of NGE Jedi agree  - This game rulz!

For some reason my trial account is still open, so I logged on to my old server Lowca the other day.

You would think with such an abysmal population the player population would pull together and be helpful and friendly.  But you will probably meet nicer, more talkative chinese gold farmers.  I could give examples but what is the point.

SOE didn't just change the game, they changed the population as well.  As sad as this makes me, I have also come to the conclusion they should let this game die.  Just let it die.

4 - Jedi. BH, Medic and Spy. Entertainers are all afk, officers and smugglers are practicaly non-existant and artisans are still out of business.

Have not logged into the EMU in some time.

 Yes. Rinse and repeat type eternal Legacy Quest, Kashyyyk quests, Mustafar quests and Clone wars series quests. Now they've introduced some new dungeons ie Exar Kun and Meatlumps...

Yes, Jedi make up for about half of the remaining population.

The game is actually MORE buggy than it was Pre-CU.  Problem is the game isn't fun anymore.  The populations are gone, the servers are dead.

Possibly the worst MMO on the market with the most amatuer development team around working on it.

AoC hurt what was left of the population.  There is no point.  They still actually charge people to play this heap.

 RIP, SWG. I still miss the early days.

 But, now I have AoC. I'm having fun.

They've made a number of improvements to the animations.  You can now  make it so that animations don't stop mid-way through as soon as you do another ability, instead the animations will play out one after the other, even if the ability that called it was done a few seconds ago.  You can revert this to the old way if you prefer that.  They also added a bunch of new animations for Melee professions, especially Jedi, Smuggler and Spy.

All 9 -12 of those professions have expertise trees assigned to them now.  There's also the new Beast Master expertise trees available to all professions that essentially lets you combine a second profession with your main one.

The low populated servers still have low populations.  Bria, Bloodfin, Starsider, Chilastra, Chimaera, etc are the much more populated servers.

Is the EMU anywhere near playable?  
Not sure...playing a game where angsty teenagers that like to run away with donations isn't all that appealing to me, so I haven't been watching it ;)

Alot of PvE content has been added, with the new Heroic instances, a new space zone with a space themepark associated with it, Storyteller, Beast Master and very soon, the Meatlump Themepark and Hoth.

 

 But also remember Green means Go as in Go as far away from the NGE as you can.

 and Red means Stop as is Stop making sense in your MMO gaming needs and play the NGE.

What makes me laugh is this game charges more than any other game (in its league) and has a lower  fan rating than Fung Wan how embarrassing is that? If I were an soe employee I'd come to work with a paper bag over my head every day.. hey guys get a grip!

I can't believe there are still people who play this game? I tried the 2 week free trial not too long ago.. it should have been labeled the 2 weeks alone trial /shrug oh well some people (and games) never learn from their mistakes
