Honesty is the best policy, but insanity is a better defense. |
I have submitted a ticket on the day of official launch, got a standardized answer about a week later, which wasn't helpful in the slightest since it had nothing to do with the issue in question. |

This is the first email I sent them: I pre-ordered the AOC game from Gamestop in Concrod, NH. When I picked it up they said there was no pre-order code for the war mammoth because Funcom only sent 6 codes to them and they had over 100 pre-orders so it was fist come first serve. This is not what was listed on the game poster released by Funcom. How do I obtain my pre-order code? I still have my reciept and the game is still unopened. I have no intention of installing it onto my computer unless I get my mammoth code. I will simply return the game to the store and get a refund. I only pre-ordered the game to begin with because of the mammoth. This is the second: This is now the second email to you guys at costumer support. What kind of company are you running that does not answer emails from someone who invested money into your game? This is ridiculous!!!! I am going to take the unopened game back to the store and get a refund if I hear no reply from someone regarding my pre-order key by Friday. I have been reading the forums and I am not the only person who is dissatisfied with your lack of responses. But guess what? I can get my $50 back because the game is still sealed. You will not get my money if you can not provide to me the product the flyer in the store promised. I wonder what you guys are going to do when the 30 days of trial is up if you keep this type of support going? |

Yeah I got carried away with those. I figured it would get them to respond to me, but it did not. This is by far the worst costumer service I have ever seen. |

You won't hear back about mounts/codes anyway. Funcom did a forum thing saying you need to sort it out with your retailer, Play.com in my case, which means tough. No codes, no mount, and no satisfaction. |

But the retailer in my case specifically said there were no codes sent by Funcom. So their way of handeling this makes no sense at all. It is their product and teir codes. What a bunch of idiots over there. |

What do you expect from a company that released an early beta qality game chock full of bugs, broken and missing features.
What do you expect from a company that releases a game that has features missing that are written on the box as being in the game.
Funcom should be lynched for their shady business practises.

I talked to them regarding a different FunCom / AoC issue, they were helpful enuff folks. Even if they can't resolve your problem (FunCom's fault) they maybe able to do a "little something" for you, they did in my case. Good Luck and don't take it out on the GameStop HQ, I got teh impression that FunCom was high on their Sh*t list these days. |
